who is with me, thinking that "old school" tricks like suicide no-hander and NFCC somehow look better, than all the spinny-flippy stuff?

(I admit, it must be because i can't spin or flip...)
  • 22 1
I don't agree. These "old school" tricks might be cool and stuff, but i can go to my local dirtjumps and watch so many people doing these tricks. They are nothing special anymore and in a worldclass event you need something more than a suicide no-hander!
...my opinion.
  • 3 1
yeah, I agree with that too. It is just that more people can relate to simpler tricks, because, as You said, they can be seen thrown down at your random local spot. Which is why when I see Claw tabletop a jump, I can imagine how I would do that ("almost" like Claw Big Grin ) and it makes me Tippie-stoked, but when I see Semenuk cork 720 out of a whale-tale, I sometimes find myself thinking, this is a different sport.

In terms of pushing the level of riding in general You are right of course.

I get way more stoked over a steezy no can on a massive hip than a flip whip any day

Well i'm honest, i can't do any trick... i'm glad that i can jump some dirtjumps, but i'm got more stoked about Semenuk's Cork 720 out of the whaletail at Joyride than about Claw's run. Seriously, my neighbour can confirm this (it was 4am btw Wink )

its a Shame that the FMB is not able to give us all a proper Livestream !
  • 2 0
it is a shame, but at mt washington it would be a pain in the ass. its already so far away from everything and then there just arent any good spots to see it all so you'd need multiple cameras.
  • 4 0
there is no live stream because Darren likes to hold a laid back event where the riders don't feel rushed or held up because of the live stream and the commercials they come with. this course is not any walk in the park it is like a set if trails on steroids, no flat bottoms to be found anywhere!!!

Cool to see brandon was punished for being creative..... A boner flip beats an oppo tailwhip A double tailwhip beats a 270 truck And a double truck beats a regular truck Both are sick runs I just don't see how creativity isn't rewarded as highly as opposites in a sport that was founded on it
  • 4 5
540 barspin beats a flair And then the rest of the course they did the same tricks practically
  • 3 2
Semenuks cork 7s are also better. He is actually upside down , Rheeder isn´t. And impresion of the whole run is also wery different. Rheeder thinks that swith trick means automatically more points, but point of switchs is that you do them in seguence. You can see that in Semenuk´s last year Crankworx winning run, that was the right way to do switchs.

i know a "360 downside whip" is not a "decade air", but it's surely a "decade through the air over a jump", maybe even a "boomerang air", that trick is always impressive, semenuk is ill.
