Bearclaw Slopestyle Starts Friday!

Aug 21, 2008
by Tyler Maine
The Bearclaw Invitational Slopestyle, one of mountain biking's premiere events, begins one day early on Friday, August 22nd.

“We're starting the first runs for all riders tomorrow night,” explains rider and event founder Darren Berrecloth. “We have a perfect weather window for the next 24 hours to run the first round. If the good weather continues, we will run the second and third runs on Saturday as scheduled.”The decision to run the Slopestyle Friday evening instead of the Free Slalom was made after close examination of Mount Washington's weather forecasting models. Dry conditions are expected to remain until Saturday evening.

This means all of the rider's will get their first runs Friday evening starting at 5:00pm. The second and possibly third runs will continue as scheduled on Saturday at noon. Following the Slopestyle, the Oakley High Air comp will take place beside the huge final drop on the slopestyle course.

i was just there and i can tell you know, Mccaul has lost already, on both his runs he never made it to the final drop! its either gonan be bearclaw who did a sick 3 table down the final drop orAndreu Lacondegeuy, jamie Goldman or brandon SemenukSemenuk who i swore almost died then somehow made it up the step up and 3d the drop on his second run. the final format they went with is 2 runs friday and 2 runs saturday.

I agree. I would be so happy to see McCaul 3peat. His run in the movie "seasons" was incredible! Bearclaw is an awesome event.

Derekt, It's also true that you're a fool. It's a pointless comment that makes you look stupid. No one cares if you're fist or not. But back on topic, I hope Bearclaw wins, this season has really sucked for him. I wouldn't mind if Cam won though.

K.. guys... I have some super sweet pics for you. Just go to Diryjumping and click in Mount Washington. They are good. I believe Darren killed the whole thing. He Rocked. Sorry Cam fans. He didnt fare too well. He is a sweetheart though. Andreu didn't much care for the weather. The whole thing went down yesterday (Friday) and today (raceday) is foggy and wet. Sucks. The afterparty should be good though..if everyone sticks around Smile will post more pics later Razz
