The Queen of Crankworx is a competition that spans three different parts of the world and often four or more disciplines of mountain biking. Winning it is no small feat. From Rotorua, NZ to Les Gets, France to Whistler, Canada, points are stacked at each event of each stop, always with a heavy competition field. Jill Kintner put her focus on the Queen of Crankworx title for 2016 and was in the lead coming into the last stop at Whistler, only needing a few solid results to secure the title. The pressure is certainly something Jill is used to, and much of it comes from her own drive and mentality, but at the biggest contest of the year, it’s impossible to not be a little nervous.

She is a ripper for sure. Really wished she was on the World Cup circuit to represent USA women. I know her sponsors, life, focus etc. has her away from WC DH, but it still would be cool.

I think it's awesome that she chose this goal. A variety of events that suit her. Variety is good. And the event payout is good- $25k prize. To me it sounds like a more enjoyable season/pursuit than WC DH...

I had the oppurtunity of meeting her while she was training in town. She's down to earth and told me to say "What's up" the next time I see her. Congrats Jill! I'll have to buy her lunch at the local Taqueria if she makes it down here again.
