The fourth stop of the BME series landed last weekend in Steamboat Springs, CO with four backcountry and three bike park oriented stages. Riders were challenged with various trails and physical skills needed to accomplish the challenging courses. The hard pedal, loose rock, and technical terrain, combined with high temperatures made this weekend a new and defiant race. Richie Rude racing for Yeti / Fox Factory Team took first place for the Pro Men while Cooper Dendel jumped to the top spot on the podium for the Pro Women. With this event wrapped we are looking forward to the 2016 BME Finals in Crested Butte, Colorado September 2nd-4th.

Loved this edit. Captured the superhumans and the mere mortals, both giving it all.

All the gnar stuff was Sunday in the bike park. The big rockface and sketchy switchbacks are part of the downhill course. Steamboat is legit riding.

Nate hills beat out cody... which Cody wasnt 100% healthy but he's usually placing in the top 30 in the EWS. Is Nate racing the EWS?

For comparison I believe Nate was 38th at EWS Aspen while Cody was 9th.

@salespunk: I could be wrong, but I think Nate was way back at the Whistler EWS. None the less I love that guy and his videos. Scares me that so many pros are faster than him, but then again they are younger.

Gotta remember too that Nate Hills is a Colorado local, so he has some advantage too.
