Plaid Goat Festival is an event not to be missed, come ride the Rockies with us and celebrate mountain bike culture Canadian Rockies style. A fun-first festival, Plaid Goat offers a full menu of activities for mountain bikers including bike demos & shuttles for wristband holders, a bike rodeo, Jump Jam comp, and one of the finest craft beer hubs in the region. The event runs June 21 - 23, 2019 at the Canmore Nordic Centre (Canmore, AB). Get your tickets now!

This year Plaid Goat is bringing in big names to the Fest. See a full news release HERE. We're stoked to announce Graham Agassiz (Aggy) will be attending this year’s event as a special guest. Aggy will be competing in the Jump Jam on June 22 alongside Black Collars team member Soren Farenholtz. Aggy will also lead the ‘Bleed Black on Razor’s Edge’ advanced Evil demo ride Sunday morning, taking a limited number of participants on a fully kitted out ride on the area’s most technical ride. Sign up details to be released June 10.

What's the Jump Jam? It's an event that's as much fun for riders as it is for spectators. Watch the regional jump crew alongside Aggy and Farenholtz, as they vie for the coveted top step cash prize. The cash prizing for the Sick Goat category includes: 1st: $250 + gear, 2nd: $150 + gear and 3rd: $50 + gear. Enter the comp or just come check it out to see who throws down the hardest. Be sure to register before the event, as all categories go up $5 for in-person registration. Learn more.

If that isn't enough to draw you in, Plaid Goat’s Regional Craft Beer Hub will. We know craft beer and riding go hand in hand, so you can expect a rider-centric atmosphere with handpicked regional craft beverages to quench your thirst. Entry to the Beer Hub is free with festival tickets. Evening entertainment will include the Bike Rodeo (hosted by The Flannel Crew, with prizing support supplied by Bow Cycle), DJs and bands.

When it s break time our Craft Beer Hub provides hand-picked spirits and beer from across the region.
Craft brands include: Banff Ave Brewing Co, WildLife Distillery, Canmore Brewing Co, Blindman Brewing, Banded Peak and more

And don't forget about the demos and shuttles. Plaid Goat has the biggest and best outdoor mountain bike expo & demo in Alberta. Brands include Norco, Cannondale, Scott, Ibis, Rocky Mountain, Salsa, Evil, Santa Cruz, Specialized, Kids Bikes Canada, Osprey, Smith, Fox, Kokopelli Pack Rafts and many more.
