BMC USA AND CRANK BROTHERS HOST TRAIL DEMO DAY AND EXPO

BMC USA and Crank Brothers have partnered with several other industry leaders for a SoCal consumer mountain bike demo day and expo in Laguna, CA. Hosted at Crank Brothers’ headquarters and with immediate access to the Laguna trail network, the Resolution to Ride event will provide consumers with a relaxed environment to sample the latest mountain bike wares from BMC, Crank Brothers, Cane Creek, Skratch Labs, Fizik, and Continental, with media partner Pinkbike on hand to document the festivities.

After a busy holiday season, the best way to start the new year right is getting on the dirt with some folks passionate about riding,” said Devin Riley, Director of Marketing - BMC North America. “Crank Brothers and all our partners for the event are like-minded companies – we all love to ride and are passionate about our new products. These kind of relaxed events where we spend the day sharing this love with consumers remind us just how good the SoCal trails can be and go a long way toward building momentum for a successful new sales year.”

Hey guys. Devin here. infousa@bmc-switzerland.com is the correct email. Or just shoot me a message here if you need info.

Yes, there's the potential for some rain. We're going to be optimistic about it and will be setting up regardless of the weather. Worst case, we scrap the riding bikes part and go right to the beer, bike talk, and hiding of as many BMC stickers as possible in the Crank Bros. office.

Best case, the mtb gods give us absolutely perfect dirt for a great day on the bike.

Unfortunately El Nino has apparently landed here, and it's supposed to be wet.
Initially it was supposed to rain M-F this week, then Tues-Sat, now Tues-Thurs/Sat, so anything is possible at this point.
If the local weather people are worth a shit at ALL, then at the very least Sat will be UBER-muddy and the associated trails should be closed. Of course with the perimeter of this trail system being so big there's a plethora of ways in, but if we end up getting the rain this week that's expected, then the promoters of this event will have to shut down the associated ride(s) so they don't send out a bunch of people to tear the shit out of the area.

Please dont ruin our trails. They are soft adobe and will have horrible ruts in them after all of this rain if clueless people go ride them. Plan the demo at San Juan Trail or the Santa Ana mtns. Plenty of rad riding out there that handles the water well.

I hate when events are scheduled on the same weekend. The opening races of the Southridge Racing's 2016 Winter Series XC, Super D, and DH races are January 9-10 also. Latest LA weather...rain on Saturday and clear on Sunday

 Hi Guys,

The outlook for the weather this weekend is still not looking great. As such we're postponing the demo until a future date (to be determined). Stay tuned for updates!

Thanks and stay dry.
