Bolehills is a BMX Track tucked away in between 2 of Sheffield's seven hills. It's home to a vibrant scene, and is a little different to other BMX tracks you'll find in the UK. So much volunteer work and fundraising goes into the track from local riders to create a unique riding experience. With steep lips, rollers, tabletops and a great pumptrack, it attracts all kinds of riders from balance bikes to the likes of the 50-01 crew.
Spooky season this year came in a big way - with a Halloween Jam being held to raise funds for the track. Once the riding was done and the sun was set, we piled back to the local pub where a premiere of local filmmakers masterpieces from the season of riding was shown to close the doors on the riding season.
The backset jumps are stuff of legend. 5 jumps with multiple takeoff options and hipped step-up to finish, they just don't get boring after a whole season of use. Every year the dig crew comes up with tweaks and changes to the track to keep it fresh and entertaining every season.
Fancy Dress was actively encouraged and all age groups got well involved!
After the session, we all piled into the local pub for the screenings and plenty of social lubrication.
Dadcam diaries produced an absolute banger from all the sessions that happened through the year. It really captures the vibe of the place - how many places in the UK have trains as long as Bolehills?
