Press Release: Branchy Protection

It protects the rear derailleur from direct impacts and snagging by rocks, branches, sticks, furrows or any other obstacles in your way. Avoid being stranded in the mountain and save trouble and money. It really works and can be an essential component in many bikes.

This new safeguard also protects the rear hanger and deflects away sticks and branches heading towards the rear wheel. It is made of a high mechanical performance thermoplastic, rigid and resistant, which absorbs impacts and has the ability to recover its shape. It weighs just 35 grams but it is tough for rough use.

Its design allows it to be attached to almost all bikes and all brands in the market. It can be used with all full suspension systems and with practically all hardtail bikes too. Branchy is especially recommended for Mountain Biking, Enduro, e-bike, Downhill, Gravel…

Keep in mind that it is like a bulletproof vest. It withstands a bullet. Do not launch a missile... Smile

I have fullsuspension MTB rental fleet in Portugal. Already ordered several and it looks like can save me from some drama. Super simple.. and hard to understand why only now somebody "invented" MTB friendly derailleur protection.

great, then now think you are in the middle of nowhere, derrailleur hanging in pieces because of a rock of a branch, and you don't have a spare, wouldn't you pay those 60€ to avoid being on that situation? I would.

back 500 years ago when I was a kid, my bikes usually had a small steel "rollbar" which bolted to the axle. Worked perfectly.

They've probably tested this, but the example in the video is more like hitting a branch that gives and flips away. With my a** on the seat there's a fair bit of torque rolling.

Anyway, I think I've managed to break two mechs over the years - both from a branch getting lodged in the spokes at speed. I've had a few der hangers do their job though.
