Speedy recovery and all the best, Jerome!
Don't get those collar bone plates. I know a few moto riders that had them put in and its very uncomfortable, even years after. Take off 6 weeks solid, rushing back to enduro(extreme XC) would not be the best idea. I doubt his team manager would recommend getting the plates but he is in France!

Looks pretty innocuous really.
Defined - 1. Having no adverse effect; harmless
Yeah, he's right, you don't know what it means! He clearly ends 20 feet below the trail in the bushes.
Must have been a different type of rock and bushes down the side of the hill than the real soft ones you are used to.
1. I don't know the meaning of innocuous.
2. You don't know the meaning of innocuous.
3, You're a fool.
I looked it up to see that it did indeed mean harmless, eliminating #1, then I gave you the benefit of the doubt.
I looked at the x-rays. He doesn't have a broken collarbone. He has a 3rd degree A/C separation (shoulder separation). Will recover MUCH faster with A/C joint pinning. Does not require a plate and screw. Fractures to the collarbone and a/c separation are two completely different things and require different treatments.
I hope Lau and Nicolai will do it properly
Apparently his handlebar has caught a tree. Not a surprise, quite a few single tracks in the South of France are not wide enough for 700mm bars :'(
What long-term cost? I've had three different plates in my left collarbone and don't notice any long-term effects.
