bigquotesBrian's All-Star Weekend was absolutely awesome. It's always a nice to meet people that you admire and respect and it's even better when these people that you have looked up to turn out to be such great people too! I enjoyed just hanging out more than anything. I'm pretty sure they won't forget us at that local Tehachapi bar that we went to...

Early last month Brian Lopes hosted an all-star weekend at Woodward West, among many the guest list included the 'King' of Supercross, Jeremy McGrath; MTV's "The Challenge" host, TJ Lavin; Supercross racer, Cole Seely; Olympic bronze medalist, Levi Leipheimer; Designer for the stars, Troy Lee; AMA dirt track and Superbike champion, Ben Bostrom; Olympic silver medalist, Mike Day; the first motocross racer to have won titles in every engine size class, Jeff Ward; X-games silver medalist, Colton Haaker; the youngest mountain biker in the group, Jackson Goldstone; badass dirt jumper; Cory 'Nasty' Nastazio; BMX legend, Tim 'Fuzzy' Hall; pro motocross racer, Shane McElrath; top professional jetski racer, Victor 'Slasher' Sheldon; two time X-games gold medalist, Steve McCann, former pro BMX'er and Mountain biker World and National Champ, Dave 'Cully' Cullinan; three time Baja 1000 winner and Dakar finisher, Quinn Cody; ex pro DH mountain biker, Randy 'RL' Lawrance; top offroad endurance athlete, Todd Wells; pro motocross racer, Mike Sleeter; AMA Superbike racer, Chris Fillmore; BMX world legend, Mike 'Rooftop' Escamilla; multiple X-games medalist and AMA EnduroCross Champion, Cody Webb; and top DH World Cup Racer, Eliot Jackson. Between breakfasts and BBQs, the weekend included everything from pumptrack sessions to the foam pit and the MegaRamp. Some awe inspiring action as seen, including, as Brian put it, "watching guys like Steve McCann go bigger on a 20” than you have probably ever seen in real life."

bigquotesBeing a Jet skier at heart and becoming a biker I was a little intimidated at first . I always heard about Woodward facility and with that said it didn't disappoint, even though I'm pushing 49 and big jumps could hurt - maybe that's why I stayed in the foam pit. I'd like to give it up to Brian Lopes for organizing such an amazing time! It was great meeting all the all-stars and challenging myself. Happy Birthday Brian and keep pushing yourself you inspire me and many others, can't wait for the next one.

bigquotesSuch an amazing weekend. Being involved in BMX, MTB, and moto over the past 20 [to] 30 years it was amazing to see friends from all different sports and disciplines. Sharing old stories and creating new. To be 47 and have the ability to ride and spend that kind of time with all of you was incredible. On top of that to share that with my son is something special to me. Thank you all for making it such a memorable weekend.

bigquotesIt was so cool to get to ride Woodward with such an elite and diverse group of guys. I wish I grew up with a Woodward camp. All the BMX and MTB guys ripped but what was crazy was how fast a lot of the moto guys that don't ride picked it up. They were doing back flips into the pit and going pretty high up on the mega ramp quarter on random bikes after just a few runs. I was stoked to take it all in and not leave in a cast.

bigquotesI was blown away the first ever time I watched Brian race, as the years went on and I had the chance to race against him it was always a pleasure and extremely tough to hang with him. To be where we are at now and enjoy his birthday celebration here at Woodward West with so many amazing people and athletes it was a very happy and positive riding weekend. We all are big kids but I really felt like that grom hanging on the fence watching some of his favorite riders ride. Thank you Brian for all the years of killing it and everything that has evolved from your career.

bigquotesWhat a great couple of days at Woodward. Thank you to every single one of [the riders] for making the day so memorable. I hope [everyone] had a great time and we can do more fun events like this in the future. I also want to send out a special thanks to Jake at Woodward West for opening the doors for us to hold this, to GoPro for hosting the BBQ dinner, Pearl Izumi for hosting the breakfast & supplying us with the budget to capture some rad pictures and video.

 Long live HBCTC!

Where's all the lady rippers at? Seems like they could have at least come up with a few for this nugget gathering? One? Two?

Please repark within the white lines.

Levi Leipheimer preparing for Road Bike Party 4? He rides flat bars? The mountain bike community should welcome him and all other roadies, come on Lance you are welcome too. Lance Armstrong for Rampage. Dave Watson back in '02 must have been their inspiration: www.youtube.com/watch?v=V1YlFQVTBuI

this crosses so many boundaries, not only of age; but of legend status, disciplines & the ability to have fun. thank you @BrianLopes55 for putting such an eclectic crew together. Turned out to be one of the funnest videos i've seen in a while, representing across the board with such a wide spectrum of our culture, WELL DONE!

Any more of the back of that van photos? Looks to me like that bed in the back of the van slides out the way to make more room, which is a bloody clever idea.

What chest mount did they use- it seems to be gyroscopic? btw I thought black men couldn't jump! (pun)
