Read below for a small interview of Brian to see what he has been up to and his plans for next season. You recently moved down to Aptos from Marin, how are you liking the riding scene here? Marin will always be my home, but moving to Aptos has been a major goal of mine for the last couple years. I'm stoked to finally be down here, the scene is definitely one of a kind. There's so many bad ass dudes, it's nice to be able to get a session going any day of the week. I am bummed that I can't freely say "hella" anymore though! This next season is going to be your second year riding with Haro. How are you liking their bikes? I like my bikes a lot, I rode the same Thread Eight hardtail frame all last season and had zero problems. For 2010, I've decided to switch to a little bit longer top tube frame and have been loving it. I'm also really excited to start riding the new Porter slopestyle bike, it's essential to have a dialed slope bike these days. What are some of your plans for this off season to train for this year's events? Pump Iron, pull cars, eat raw meat for protein, jk! I've been digging a bunch, does that count as training? Lately I've been trying to eat a little bit more healthy, and stretch more often. Basically the injury preventative program. I honestly don't train for any events, I just show up, send it, and have fun. Any big tricks you've been working on? I've been working on not getting hurt mainly, injuries suck. Besides that, I've been trying to dial in some flip tricks, and barspin combos. It's weird how some tricks can be so mental. What events are you planning on going to this year? Which one are you most excited about? I'm hoping to go to all the major ones, and am especially excited to get out to the Highland comp. I'll probably be spending the weeks in between events coaching MTB at Woodward West Camp. I want to attend the following:
Ray's odd couples contest
Sea Otter Classic
Fise
Teva Mountain Games
Goatstyle
Highland claymore challenge
Crankworx Colorado
Crankworx WhistlerGive a shout out to your sponsors Brian!Big thanks to, Haro Bikes, WTB, Woodward West Camp, and Greg Watts! Here are a few pics of Brian riding his new build! Flipwhip in the morning sun

the 38 countries gerenally defined as Northern california...hell even Yosemite is in there
upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/fb/NorCal_Counties_Map.jpg
The difference is not just geographic, its the people too. SoCal is more image conscious (bleached hair, tattoos, custom motorcycles, L.A. style) and NorCal is more down-to-earth (older women with undyed gray hair, organic food, people are more into the outdoors).
I always thought SLO was the dividing line, but I would definitely class Aptos as NorCal.
