I understand every acronym kids throw out these days... but yeah I've seen it and its hilarious but unfortunately, I was busy other doing things that are more important than memorizing lyrics.... like eating a sandwich or watching House Wives of New Jersey.
Psyched on all the fun comments people, thanks a bunch! Stoked the edit came out solid, Jasper always kills it! To the people asking about tires, they're Maxxis Shorty's 2.3 3C EXO TR
Please keep them coming Bryn and Jasper. You and Jasper are a great combo. Ever since "Sunday with Bryn Atkinson" I have become a great fan and looking forward to more of your clips. Thank you.
Hey I was there that day! We saw Bryn shoot a couple those sequences. We hollered like total fanboys!!! Speed is a thing you think you have until you see somebody who is REALLY moving. It puts things into perspective to say the least...!
I've ridden every inch of every trail shown in this vid at least 100 times and couldn't touch any of those speeds. F*king ludicrous speed in some of those spots. Just got re-stoked
Lived in Bonny doon and rode allmost all of santa Cruz has to offer but I can't quite put my finger on these trails... Are they all the highway 9 descents?
sure people seem to be turning their heads a bit more these days to riding those trails, but they are still illegal and we all know better than to film/shoot there for commercial use...
we all know better than to film/shoot there? Like Specialized, Yeti, Santa Cruz Bikes? They might make it a little less obvious but they all commonly do commercial use on illegal Santa Cruz Co trails and sometimes legal trails by accident.
I believe they were considered 'illegal' when I lived/rode there as well. This was fifteen years ago. Doesn't seem like its toned down the enthusiasm any.
It's a shame that these trails are illegal. The tickets aren't cheap, and when I tried to challenge it the court made me take bike traffic school. Oh well, see you guys out there Saturday!
IMHO, your best edit to date. Nailed it! Congrats to both Jasper and Bryn! Now I have to close my eyes and dream that I am sailing down that trail as fast as you.... ;-)
He sure does. Its just that the ten or twelve guys in front of him move too fast for the shutter speed on the camera. You need that crazy high-speed camera setting to video Chainsaw Massacre etc.
the trees and the loam. i believe now, that the region known as cascadia, should be extended all the way down to santa cruz. PNW in general, is the best place on earth to shred.
The tracks in Santacruz are so much fun, rode them for the first time last week in the tropical storm, so much more grip than back home. Not that technical, but super fast and fun. Gotta ride Mailboxes (and whatever the one I rode before it was) in the bone dry this weekend and get my stoke on again.
I rode with a local, nice guy on an orange santacruz 1050. The bottom of mailboxes was a little tech for sure. More fall line straight down flat out though. Come visit schotlander north for some tech nar. No think like whistler trespasser, now that is tech. They were freekin fun. Was over 10C so I nearly melted on the climb. Hotter than our summers back home and even when wet (rode mailboxes in the worst of the rain late afternoon) your tracks are still mint for flat out grip. can't wait for the weekend to shred them again. If any locals are up for hooking up somewhere (I parked under the railway bridge near the bus depot) and cycled up to the first then past the 2nd water container from there. That would be mint. I am an ok rider, game for a giggle on the hill, just I melt in the heat.
Hey, me and my buddy are the new builders up at Mailboxes-- we've been putting up all the new stuff.. , and I've started fix'n up Juggs. U can hook up with us sometime if you wanna ride! . Just PB me!!..
everybody send @theArtiist a message and he'll show you all the illegal trails. he doesn't actually live here and didn't actually build these trails but allegedly he digs on them so it's totally cool
Jesus F*n Christ. Everyone shut the f*ck up about the god damn Illegal trails. Ride them. Enjoy them. Watch out for rangers. And remember the FIRST RULE OF FIGHTCLUB.
Rangers... wow, we don't have them back home, we have the Forestry Commission... soz for boiling your eggs boyz! RULE 8...lol...Never lifted a tool myself to build one of these "illegal trails", I am as white as white and only ride official trails with signs at the top and little paper maps to tell me where to ride... seriously though, I get ya, thats why we have a closed group off PB for trails and developments. I love the fight club annology... a film about a paranoid schizophrenia
Can't go wrong with these trails literally in your backyard! I am going to be a freshman in college this fall and am, ironically, moving away from these trails. haha
Ahaha! The title is now "Bryn Atkinson in NorCal" and not "Bryn Atkinson in Santa Cruz" anymore To avoid free advertising for an other very famous bicycle compagny I presume?
Those particular trails in SC suck, besides they are all illegal anyways. Love hearing about the $300 weekend warrior kook tickets being handed out by States Park rangers all up and down hwy 9
@PINKBIKE: Wish these videos / rides came with Strava links so I could really see how fast they were going, so I could compare to my own times, and maybe see how pros were taking lines, etc.. #ProveIt
GOLD @ MattDennison !
You gotta put out another video/song - clearly
That turn at 1:10 is rowwwww-dy.
Nice work Jasper.
Who's hiring??
