Source: Brett Hornfelt It’s that time of year. The time of one season ending and another beginning, the time of year when riders are enjoying their off season training. Trying to be the best they can for the new season that is approaching. Or maybe it’s the time of year when one takes a break and sits back and looks at the season they just finished, reflecting on the good times they just had and trying to figure out how they are going to have more fun in the new season. Maybe for some it is a time to strap on the skis or board and go shred the mountains some more. Or maybe for others they thankfully are able to continue riding right through the winter.
It's that time of year up here in northern BC to strap on the skis and hit the gym as much as possible. Doing all that a person can to be prepared for the season that is coming up. But first a person should sit back and reflect on the season that has passed, and thank those who have helped them through out the course of the year. This season would not have been possible without the help of all our amazing team sponsors.
At this time last year I was trying to figure out what to do for the upcoming year. Which races to do and what bikes I would be riding. Thankfully I was contacted by Jeff Bryson about a new team program he was starting up. From then on we were the Bryson Racing Clan. On the team for the year is Tyler Gnitt, Nick Quinn, Jeff Bryson and myself. The four of us along with our amazing tech Buckwheat, hit the season. We hit the Canada Cups, BC Cups and of course Crankworx. The season was awesome, having the best bikes and a tech that traveled with us was really amazing. Go to
www.brysonracingclan.com to see the results from the season.
The team all started with the help of the Hayes Bicycle Group. They came on board with the full line of support. Manitou suspension front and rear, Hayes Stroker Trail and Ace brakes, Sun Ringle Wheels, and Wheelsmith spokes. The help from the Hayes group was awesome, right down to having us in there pits at Crankworx. The product and support received from these guys was very much appreciated by the team.
Specialized was next on board, helping us with our bikes, tires, pedals and grips. It was awesome to be able to get on a pre-production Demo 8 race bikes. This new geometry Demo truly is a racing machine. A bike worth a try if you want to stand on the top step of the podium.

Chromag, also came on board helping us with what they do best, handlebars, stems, seat posts and saddles.
Kali Protectives helped us out with keeping our protective needs covered. Their helmets and pads are top notch and should really be looked at if you are in the market for some new protection for this up coming season. We also received help from the good guys at
Blackfoot Direct and Fox Canada with our amazing looking race kits this year.

The help of all these sponsors was amazing, and we are looking forward to another season coming up, stay tuned to the team site to find out what’s happening with the team through the off season and what’s in store for the upcoming season. When you’re at the races stop by the tent to say hey, and if you need a hand on your bike let Buckwheat work on it, you will not regret it.
“When in doubt, pin it out.” It always has seemed to fit, no matter what a person is applying it to. Haha… Until next time.
