We are excited to announce the launch of Fantasy Enduro. Pick your dream Enduro World Series team and you could be in the running to walk home with the Grand Prize.

Get ready to show your skills for picking winners, at all 8 rounds of the 2022 Enduro World Series. With a fictional budget of $1.5 million you will choose your ultimate team of 6 riders (4 men, 2 women) and go to battle in the Fantasy Enduro League. Each round you can make changes to your team and you can be apart of 2 mini-leagues and compete against your friends. Each race round will have feature prizing for the overall Top Team of the round and then at the end of all 8 races we crown the overall Fantasy Enduro Champion and present the Grand prize of a complete bike!

For the grand prize awarded at the end of the season, Maxxis teamed up with Ibis to kick start your enduro career! Ibis is providing their Ripmo AF with a NGX build and Maxxis will make sure your first couple seasons of racing go smoothly with 24 tires of your choice in addition to a boat load of team Maxxis swag!

Round Prize
Round 1: Tweed Valley

For this first round, one lucky winner will receive three sets of Maxxis tires, including two Assegais, two Shortys and two Dissectors along with some swag to keep you looking fresh on your way to the trails. Designed by the GOAT, Greg Minnaar, the Assegai has quickly gained a reputation as the grippiest tire in Maxxis’ line. It’s the go-to front tire for the gnarliest conditions. The knob layout on the Shorty has been altered to improve wet traction, cornering performance, and mud shedding abilities, while the Dissector seeks to minimize drag while retaining cornering control.


IMPORTANT: To maximize your chances to win the Grand Prize, we recommend you have your team created by June 3, 2022. You will want to maximize your points score and have your team present for all races. Teams created at a time after races have previously occurred earlier will not be eligible to backlog points that riders would have accrued from previous races.

 @samdeatley: i think a lot of folks would have been fine without prizes. the bigger thing was that there hadn't been any sort of official communication about it from the PB staff, I guess this is the closest we'll get to that.

 pinkbike should try a fantasy XC league. The UCI World Cup XC racing is easy to watch on redbulltv. There are a lot of famous racers, I've even seen articles written about them on pinkbike dot com the website.

 @islandforlife: Yeah but unlike DH there isn't a start list, shit there isn't even a rumors thread about who may/may not be racing. Also the photo of the bike is the highest spec Ripmo which IS NOT the prize... Enduro fantasy is kinda a joke.

I misunderstood this as well- the countdown is to the first EWS race. The deadline to create teams was a couple of weeks ago. However, you can still create your own team for fun, just no prizes from Pinkbike. We could create an alternative fantasy league, eh?

 This list needs a serious price adjustment. Remi Gauvin finished 28th but is 10th most expensive rider. Eddie Masters 39th - 11th most expensive. And there are many more examples of this but basically if a rider performs they become more expensive which is fair. If a rider underperforms - they are still expensive.

 @rtclark: So? There are definitely some really bad values and really good values on the list. The players job is to sort those from one another.

To my eye, the unreasonably expensive riders are either previous top riders or have big social media followings. Basically they are traps for casual players who pick people they’ve heard of and don’t really follow the sport. I consider that a feature, not a bug.

 @ZanderShredsMtb: When I ordered my Ripmo, a couple of years ago, 2020. I tried to get the fox sus. and was told that they were only going with DVO, not that I'm mad, became a fan of DVO. Maybe it was supply issues with COVID or something. On Ibis's page the only option is still DVO.
