Designed and Built by Tom Lepesqueur, Feeney Films tests out the newest version of our cable cam at Highland Mountain Bike Park.
Feeney Films got our first real test run of our new Cable Cam this weekend over the newest jump line at Highland Mountain Bike Park in Northfield NH. Watch Clinton McMahon, Mike Kent, Rocco Quintiliani, and James "Slim" Patterson shred the newest dirt jumps at Highland Mountain Bike Park.
Videos inside,
Tom Lepesqueur, resident excavator at HMBP, is the brains behind our Frankenbot. This is not the first version of Robo-Cinie that Tom has created. Check out his video that won the HMBP video contest last year. This was shot with our second version of the Cable Cam, over Highland's premiere trail Hellion.
Tom spent all winter in the R&D lab tearing down last year's model to improve reliability, torque, and overall sickness. Upgrades made for 2010 include, higher power motors, Full 360 pan, 180 degree tilt, and a wireless transmitting system that allows us to see what the camera is shooting on my laptop in Real Time!
Tom and I have been experimenting with the art of Cable Caming since the release of the Collective. It's been a great experience seeing this project progress over the years. Take a look at our first production Yard Bike or Die, from 2007, and see what we did with a come-along, 100 feet of 7/16 galvi cable and some climbing rope...talk about sketchy!
