Chris Roberts is at it again down at Caersws in Mid Wales - Great Britain with his Caersws Cup race series in 2009.

Chris Papworth from Ridinghigh said “Astrix Europe are proud to be backing the Caersws Cup again for the 2nd year, we had great feed back from last year and really wanted to do more for all the riders so we are giving away 4 of latest design Havoc R downhill frames” Chris has also sorted the latest Astrix Havoc R downhill frame that is up for grabs everyone, a race number will be drawn out of a hat at each round and the lucky winner takes home this fantastic prize.

Mojo Suspension will give a pair of the amazing Fox 40’s for the person who finishes in 40th place overall based on the total times of everyone added together after 4 rounds. This means everyone is in with a chance of winning this amazing prize at the end of the series.

Not forgetting the fast guys there is £100 cash for the Fastest time of the day sponsored by Pete Yates Cycles.

The Caersws Cup is designed for new and up coming riders to cut their teeth and gain experience of Downhill racing.

Race organizer Chris Roberts said, “Caersws is the perfect for a single venue series, the best uplift in the country equals more time blasting down the four exciting courses”.

Situated in the heart of beautiful Mid-Wales near Newtown.

The courses suit all abilities, the races are ideal for new riders, the uplift service in renowned as the best in the country so plenty of time riding your bike.

Saturday
Uplift Practice Day 9.30am – 4.30pm

Sunday
Practice 8.30am– 10.30am
Race Start (2 runs)11.00am – 4.30pm

Background:
Caersws is a private forest used for regional and national races over the past 5 years, we ran the first race at Caersws in 2003 which was won by Marc Beaumont, since then four courses have build by the local riders to make this an ideal place to run the series. The National series returns to Caersws in September 09 so good chance to get some extra practice in before the National Circus arrives.

Age range from just 12 years old up to over 40+
Juvenile 12-14, Youth 15-16, Junior 17-18, Senior 19-29, Master 30-39, Veteran40+,
Expert & Pro Elite Categories

British Cycling Ranking Points for riders wanting to build up to race the National Points Series www.NPSDH.com

Series Points
Overall Series winners will be decided by there overall points from there best 3 of 4 race results. (Minimum of 5 riders per category)

Live Timing
The very latest Tag Heuer timing system is now going to be timing you down the 1/10,000th of second.

Podium Presentations:
Custom made Trophies to top 3 in category.
£100 cash to the fastest time of the day
An Astrix Europe Havoc R downhill frame to one lucky person who races number is picked at random at every round.
A pair of Fox 40 forks to person in 40th place overall using there total race times over all four rounds.

Parking:
New parking and camping areas have been made to make it as short easy walk to get the uplift pick up point. There is a field for tents, caravans & motor homes right next to the finish arena. Hot & Cold food and toilets on site which makes an ideal place to chill out between runs and watch the racing action
