So for $250 you can get a $42 (47 CAN) TLD Jersey (catalog.troyleedesigns.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=1167). 25% of Parts, Labour, and TLD clothing. Lets do the math shall we?

To get your $203 dollar investment to call yourself a member of Calgary Cycle, you would have to spend $1015 in parts to "break even". In other word you would have to spend that money to recoup the value of your initial investment of $203 for the price of being on the B-Team, and $47 for the jersey. That is the basic package.

Total Cost Basic B - package - $1265

Now for the fill package.
Jersey $42, Helmet $295, Gloves $28 = Total $365 US ($410 CAN).
Cost of team $750 - Value of Product $410 = $340.
Total amount that must be spent on parts to recoup $340 investment = $1700.

Total Cost Full Package B-Team: $2450

The good things is possibly for racers is the basic tech support available at races, but most bikers especially racers, I assume are well prepared and set up there own bikes. To quote a friend, "A shop may be able to build 100 bikes a lot faster and better than me, but they can't build MY bike better than me."

My advice for racers or people wanting to race, save your money, forget PAYING to be on a team, support your local shop, and I am sure they will help you out with discounted parts without paying for that "priviledge"(I use that quite loosely).

Great marketing, selling team spots.

i do agree that there seems to be a lot of catches there, but im going down to CC myself to check it out. i may be interested in joining C team but i want every detail befor i decide. plus my current sponsor has been good to me in that they have supplied me with t shirts, DVDs, publicity, and possible race entry fee payment (given the right publicity is given to the company) AT NO CHARGE TO ME, not one damn cent. remember kids.. most sponsors arn't all they're cracked up to be.

Cost C- Team $250 - Value of Jersey $47 = $203. You will have to buy $2030 in parts to recoup your money. Total spent $2280, before you start saving money.
