PRESS RELEASE: Calgary Cycle

We're celebrating our first season at our new 12,000 square foot location at 4623 Bow Trail S.W. Conveniently located in the heart of the communities of Wildwood, Westgate and Rosscarrock and a five-minute bike ride from Edworthy Park, this exciting new location better serves our new and old community of riders and offers award-winning sales and technical service to the whole city.

“We’ve taken the winter to shake out the bugs and we’re ready for a great summer” says Derek. “This shop is what I think a bike shop should be to a community -- supporting healthy living and making our sport more accessible."

COME CELEBRATE WITH US

To celebrate the new store, the cycling community is invited to Calgary Cycle’s grand opening event on Saturday and Sunday, March 24th and 25th. We are planning a fun-filled weekend of activities and draw prizes throughout each day. The first 100 shoppers will get a gift bag for coming out, and everyone in attendance will be entered to win a bike from Scott.

COFFEE. YOGA. BIKES.

The new store is Calgary Cycle's vision of a retail location that brings the cycling community together. Attached to the store, Calgary Cycle has created The Hub cafe. The Hub features locally roasted Phil & Sebastian coffee, light meals and pastries for all to enjoy. The Hub is licensed to serve beer and wine, and is a relaxing evening spot for the local community, commuters, and shoppers.

This new location serves as a full-service community hub for active lifestyles in Calgary. Calgary Cycle event programming mixes with new activities, including self-defence classes, yoga, and indoor cycle training. Scheduled activities will take place weekly in the flexible fitness area attached to The Hub cafe.

SERVICE. SERVICE. SERVICE.

The new store located at 4623 Bow Trail S.W has expanded on the Centre Street location's capacity by over 5x. This includes 12 work stands in the service department and well over 200 bikes on the floor. It is something to see in person if you are in the Calgary Area!

The team would like to take a moment to thank our friends and family for all the help and the huge amount of time that these people put into this project to make it come to life. A special thanks has to go out to our amazing design firm 54Blue. Without their attention to detail and ability to take our idea of a dream bike shop and make it into a reality, this never would have come to fruition. Thank you all again for the efforts and please come join us for our grand opening!

@Calgary-Cycle: Completely disagree. Get yourself a fat bike and ride whiner. We're in Canada. It snows. Stop moaning and go have some fun.
