Geax is proud to announce its partnership with Cameron Zink, distinguished slopestyle and gravity athlete who will ride Geax tires and represent the brand in these disciplines for the 2009 season. Cam is the first US gravity pro ever sponsored by Geax.
“Cam will play a vital role in the exposure of our brand and products, and will be an essential part of the further development of our gravity and extreme use tires” said Ryan DeLong, North American Marketing Manager for the Vittoria Group. “It’s a relationship we’re very excited about.”Cam has been in the spotlight since his 2006 win at Crankworx in Whistler, BC. He’s maintained his celebrity status through numerous wins and consistent top finishes in many events that followed.
As for Cam’s take on the relationship “When changing tire companies after so many years with something more familiar, different products can present new challenges, but Geax has some incredible new tires that will make the transition very easy for me. The new line of Geax tires give me an excellent range to cover all of my needs as a pro rider, with some progressive compounds, tread designs, and sidewalls. This is a tire change I’m looking forward to!”
Cam will use a broad range of Geax tires, including the new Neuron triple compound, DHEA, Booze Light, Tattoo Light, and Saguaro. Cam’s competition tires will utilize Geax’s proprietary TNT (Tube/No Tube) technology.

Also, you'll have to go back a few years before you find a Men's DH World Champion that didn't win on Maxxis.
I think huckoveraduck's "undisputed champions of the world" is pretty accurate.
iamamodel - all that your "facts" prove is that riders who came in the top 10 were worthy of coming in the top 10 - IRRESPECTIVE of their tire choice. Brian Lopes once won a street race on a beat up Huffy. Do you think that if that bike didn't have Maxxis tires that he wouldn't have won? Pros don't neccessarily CHOOSE their tires per-se, they run what their team has sponsorship deals with. More pro-teams chose Maxxis - that's all you "prove".
Lopes race was about speed and fitness, not grip in the dirt.
I have a set of 2.5 ST Minions and a set of 2.5 Lobo mas Locos. I choose the Minions, though the Geax was the 2nd best tire I've ever ridden, and I've ridden a LOT.
I know this thread is not about Maxxis, it is a rebuttal against beavola. huckoveraduck's statement is not an opinion, its a real-world, race-result proven fact.
I've used Kenda, Maxxis, Hutchinson, Continental, Michelin, Panaracer, IRC and Nokian in the past. Geax are next on my list and hopefully the last tire I'll need.
The logo is blacked out by the team because they paid for the tires not Maxxis. And yes those are the tires on the World Champion's bike.
So no, they don't turn into "dirty brown walls after a few rides." Sure it's a little more maintenance than a typical black side wall, but how many times have you seen someone riding white walls on their bike?
Actually, I voted for Kerry because he was the best candidate. Are you trying to say that Bush performed well in his first term? Your analogy makes no sense man. I will only buy Maxxis because they are the best tires I've tried. I think they are perfect in every way. After experimenting with other tires, and talking to a lot of other riders, I've come to the conclusion that Maxxis makes the best tires. So, while these geeks tires may be "as good" as Maxxis, I'm not willing to gamble on them. I don't think there is any way these tires could be "Better" than Maxxis.
What would be most intresting? Cam. Zink gets a new tire sponsor or new bike sponsor?
U choose. xD!
I bet you voted for Bush in '04 just in case Carey didn't perform as well...
