Sad news for Zink fans - we all wish him a speedy recovery and a return to form next year!

 Pulling out is also a good option if you don't want a first child.

 @igxqrrl: well I’m not sure about US education but here in EU we do not recommend pulling out as a valid contraception method

 My pullout game is a straight 100. After two kids and six years. Personally I think it's safer than condoms because like, you don't actually shoot inside. Condoms break sometimes, plus the blow-by problem always gives me the willies.

 I had a super bad feeling about Zink this Rampage, glad this happened before he tried to spin a 40 foot drop. Wishing the man a successful surgery and speedy recovery!

 I'm actually glad to hear this given the situation. Last thing I wanted to see today was Zink's shoulder coming out on a huge flat drop flip.

 Its insane how good Cam still is after all these years, and that he still pushes the limits as much as he does. Doing fast plant 3's off cliffs and cash rolls on a DH bike--off a rampage jump no less. Cant wait to see what he dreams up when he gets better

 Really glad he made the call. If you're not 100% and the shoulder could pop out unexpectedly, you're not ready for something like this. Heal up properly and show us what you've got when you're back.

Now that he's quit so shortly before the event, is there actually a rider on the reserve list who'll take his spot?

 this is a good thing dude was taking way to big of a risk even riding that with a shoulder that could pop out at any minute, he should be glad it went out there verse a spot where it would have been disastrous!! we know he is a great rider, nothing to prove at this point.

 just pleased at least this isn't too serious, I worry for these guy's and that Cam has the sense to be wise and pull out before anything worse could happen, heal up strong mr man

 Bummer to not see Cam ride but glad he's not risking his riding career today. I wanna see him recover and shred it next year!!!!

 I mentioned his shoulder injury in another comment I made. I'm glad he chose to sit this one out. It's just not worth it. Let your body fully recover before doing extreme hits again.

 yeah i knew it was over when he posted his shoulder popping out on some small (relative) feature on king kong a couple days prior.
