Did the same trip ourselves last year... Vancouver - Whistler - Silverstar. Trip of a lifetime for sure.

That drive from Whistler to Silverstar was epic stuff for small island people like me too. Great memories gents, thanks.
Oh, and BC...How much for that truck for 2 weeks eh? Tax, Tax, Tax BC! You put me off coming back with the taxes on the rentals!

You should try living here! We get killed with tax! It's the only only drawback to this beautiful place.

I feel for you guys! My jaw hit the floor when we saw the tax on a two week Jeep Patriot rental.... doubled the cost!

Yup! TAXs blow big time! Thats why I'm saving my pennies here in Korea. Can move back home anytime...

well, booked 2 months earlier, for that Ram 1500 we paid 80bucks a day, w/o insurance, which was covered by master card. Then I feel like, when the total is split by 5 people who are sharing it, thats honorable dont you?

Every country has machine built bike parks. Canadians are quite friendly. Let the locals show you the hand built trails. This is what sets BC apart from most other places. Hundreds of hand built trails made just for the pleasure of shredding!

digthehills. Your hand crafted trail is stunning. Your a man of action. Wish I could visit Ireland. Drink proper Guinness and shred on your private stash.

Cheers man, the pics and videos dont do it justice, but the secret trails are sooooo much fun to ride after a couple of months hard digging. Worth the effort. Only myself and a select few others that helped build over the last couple of years know where it is which makes it even better. Hopefully get more pics and video of the rest of the trails in the next few weeks. Its private land so only a few of us have permission to be there.

That's adorable that we're so well loved. Makes me all misty. The stuff that us locals take for granted is the trip of a lifetime for others. The mountain trails - hell, even Vancouver's alleys are scenic. You guys are gonna have to do it again though, just to ride a ferry. Well, and then ride on an island or two. And, ya, buying a new Cove while on a trip might not be something your average rider could do. However, it's as cool as someone from the West Coast flying to Germany to buy a new Porsche! Great idea. .

People seem to either forget, or just don't realize, that the riding in the Rocky Mountains in Alberta is Epic... and the sales tax is the lowest in Canada (5%).
