The second round of the series in Mollau!
The second round of the Cannondale Enduro Tour powered by SRAM series took place last weekend in the small village of Mollau. A passionate group of riders called "Les Dahus", have built trails for 5 years and they are sick enduro tracks! With less than 500 inhabitants, Mollau is over packed when the 450 racers land for racing! But all the village is in emulation to give to all the participant a perfect day of riding. Top Pilots
As always the word of mouth has been spread around the ears of top riders who came especially for the event: the usual enduro riders such as Rémy Absalon, Pierre-Charles Georges, François Bailly-Maitre or event Elliot Trabac registered! Julien Absalon and Pauline Ferrand-Prevot also decided to join to race to have some nice technical training!
The rain has unfortunately made the race harder, so the organisation decided to cancel one stage to make the day still fun for the 400 racers. Finally, the tracks had good grip and the weather conditions weren't that catastrophic, and all the riders like it!
For the victory, Pierre-Charges Georges (Commençal- Lac Blanc) signed his 2 win in a Cannondale Enduro Tour race. He beats Rémy Absalon (Scott Suntour) for 12' and François Bailly-Maitre (IBIS) ends up in 3rd position. The young talented Eliott Baud (POC) got the 4th place and Thomas Lestaque reached the 5th spot with a flat tire!
In the women's category, the german Veronika Brüchle did a really good race and signed her first victory in front of the Swiss Monika Buchi and the French Deborah Motsch (Giromagny team).
The Master's class was again a tight race with more than 50 riders. Mc Lagan won in front of the local Camille Lepley (Geko bike) and Andreas Krakau finished 3rd. And in the Junior category, the Swiss Emeric Lenzer won the race.
