Canyon has announced a very limited run of Fabio Wibmer signature versions of the Torque CF freeride bike.

Wibmer signed with the German direct-sales brand in January 2020 and since then has starred in videos such as Israel Is My Playground and Home Office with his 'SICKnature' white bikes. Now, Canyon is releasing 80 replica bikes that mimic Fabio's set up for customers to buy.

Alongside the colourway, customers will also get a spec from Fabio's sponsors. Adding to the white and gold theme, suspension comes from Ohlins with an RXF 36 M2 fork and a TTX22M coil shock. The brakes are Magura's MT7 with 203mm rotors, which are bigger than the standard 180mm rotors specced on other Torque models. Other spec highlights include contact points from SQ Labs, wheels from DT Swiss and Continental tyres.

The Torque CF Fabio Wibmer is priced at £5,449, the same price as the current top spec Torque CF9, and will be on sale from 11am CEST on the 13th of April. More info, here.

I hope they also produced 80 extra white rear-ends for warrenty.

I hope they will release an extra signature replacement parts inventory list on their website Big Grin I am sure Fabio gets his frame and 80 yokes, boltkits, and bushings just so he can change than when he cleans his bike.

 Impressive bike holding skills.

Reasonable young engineer voice: Judging by his overall body now way he has strength to hold a 14kg+ bike like this. Even if he would, he would need to lean back to balance the center of mass. Virtually every single picture like this is staged. Two people were holding the bike for him and took away their hands for asplit second for the picture to be taken.

Bro be like: You gotta be fun at parties man, he has mega balls and flexible scrotum from bottoming on those stair hucks, He grabs that nut sack slings it over his shoulders, hangs them behind his back to balance the weight. Prove me wrong
  • 72 0
@justwaki: Nah man, he held it like that for a solid 10 minutes. That is why the bike is in such a light gear, as to not add extra weight.

My impression is that this is the face Fabio makes while he throws a bike at someone who is about to stab him

He's actually also a skilled fisherman, and he's holding out the xxs model to make it look bigger.

@justwaki: ok Waki..... You've had your fun being back on PB.... Time for you to go away again for a little while. Or at least until DoubleCrownAddict is allowed back...

You're like heroin... Small gradual doses or it becomes a real bad time....
  • 4 1
@typerk87: I'd love to see some pics of people trying to replicate this. No way anyone is holding a 30lb+ bike that casually in that position. Not even for a split second. That bike is either on some kind of wire that was photo shopped out or it was being held by some other people and the pic was snapped just as they let go.

@justwaki: I was reading this, thinking to myself "what an obnoxious twat, this sounds like something that Wakidesigns idiot would have typed", but it couldn't be, because another Pinkbike member had been so kind to build a Google Chrome extension called "Wakidenied" that has made my last couple years on Pinkbike so much more pleasurable without the usual diarrhea that spews from your fingertips polluting the comments. Looks like the extension needs updating with a new username!

@OlSkoolJake: glad to know I’m not the only person who’s thinking this way.
  • 3 2
@sino428: do you even lift bro? Shit is easy. I’m in the gym 6 days a week. So this is easy for me. The average weekend warrior who rides and is out of shape might have an issue. I’ll replicate this picture with my 40lb DH bike to show you.
  • 5 7
@OlSkoolJake: I don't know if I'm crazy but I'm super happy seeing Waki is back, or at least one of his trained disciples haha!
  • 2 1
@typerk87: I don't want to see a picture. Anyone can do it for a picture the same way they did it here. Post a video of it. I'd love to see it. There is a big difference between what you do in the gym and casually holding a 40lb bike like the picture. I can easily front raise a 35lb dumbbell, but doing it that casually with that body position is completely different.
  • 3 2
@justwaki: Is this the same as WakiDesigns? And why does everyone love to hate this guy? I'm so confused on the downvotes
  • 5 6
@sino428: I tried yesterday. I can hold a 30lbs kettlebell for like... 3-4 seconds. 35lbs only raise it. I made the good face to it too. But you still need to lean back a bit even with tensioned core and glutties... 35lbs, I can only lift it and not to level, so if someone is working out their shoulder a lot it should be in fact easy. But majority of riding population? Doubt it. There are of course slim ripped people who can lift hell of a lot. There's this max 25yr old slim football player on my gym - 225x5 on bench... hate that guy. Beefy guys probably more than me.
  • 1 1
@justwaki: that’s exactly it. There is a difference between lifting it and even holding it for a couple seconds, and doing it in the way this picture is taken, where the rest of his body is completely relaxed. If he were really holding this he would have tension all over his body to stabilize the hold. His core would be tight, shoulders shrugged, etc.
  • 1 2
@sino428: he doesn't even have Gymshark sweatpants on

  • 2 5
 @mhoshal: Whooosh
  • 2 1
Is it humanly possible to hold a bike like that? Yes, piss easily for guys that hit the gym and not born with beta genetics, 14kg lateral raises with dumbells are not even hard fir a guy with average genetics... Is it possible a skinny bike dude like Fabio did it, well some people are strong for their size, but if had to place a bet, it's staged as hell... He looks like he has a 1rm bench of 50kg.
  • 1 1
@Danzzz88: I agree... but to keep a discussion going... don't let the muscle size fool you... Remy Metallier is nowhere near the size of beefy guys at my gym and he outlifts them on DL. One of our local DJers may be a piece of meat if you take a longer look, but you would never tell he DLs 320kg. I wouldn't be surprised if Fabio benches 100kg. Look at Minnar. He looks like a whimp. Yet it is beyond any doubt that he can move iron Smile
  • 1 1
@justwaki: I know, I weigh 72kg and 1 repped 150kg on decline.. but I'm predominantly fast twitch fibre, always the fastest and strongest guy growing up even though I'm pretty short at 5'8... And liads of guys on hormones jacked as hell and lift bugger all, so I kniw guys are out there like that, but Fabio has ectomorphic proportions, even comoared to a guy that diesn't go to the gym his bone structure is dainty like many tall skinny people, I doubt he is strong just based on his frame...but you never know, same with women too, you will be surprised how strong some women can naturally be, especially in squats.
  • 1 0
@Danzzz88: The point is not lifting that weight, its holding it there as casual as he is. Raising the weigh is easy, holding it there with the arm straight out with the rest of his body that relaxed is what is not.
  • 2 2
@Danzzz88: Don't get me started on women and squats... everytime there are two honey bunnies coming into my gym, the girl will squat well with good range of motion and then the dude will tell her how to do it "right". He'll do a warm up set where he barely lifts it on 3 reps and then add 20kg on aach side for the "target set", go down half way and then turn his head back around the barbell, while his knees are going in all directions only to do a belly dance just before the full extension... bloody couples training together. All strong couples are in different parts of the gym because they came there ot train not impress each other with how long you can occupy a squat rack with pathetic results Big Grin

  • 25 0
Don't forget about the river beavers and those pesky beavers hiding in human undergarments.
  • 3 0
You've never heard of mountain beavers?
  • 8 0
Also, why is the beaver on its back? That's what otters do, not beavers. Is it intentional PB? mixing American sea rodent with a Canadian pond rodent?
  • 4 0
These all seam like mysterious yet important questions especially for a non beaver or sea otter inhabiting countrymen like myself @deaf-shredder:
  • 1 1
No body cares about the feeling of common otters living in the old world which is not even a rodent.

Strange to see officially on a Torque a 203 rear rotor after having broken two rear triangles due to (Canyon words) use of "non supported 200mm rotor"...
  • 6 0
 That’s *very* interesting...
  • 2 0
OMG really? I remember a discussion with their customer service, about that 28 hole rim with staight pulled spokes wasn't really a good idea for rear wheel on dh bike. I guess I was satisfied the same way
  • 3 0
Must say that Canyon both time provided new rear triangle in 20 days.
Anyway they finally suggested for safety reason to go back to original 180 back rotor as 200 was not supported and probable cause of failures (alu stay broken twice exactly near brake support).
  • 1 0
I had no idea. I’ve been running 200’s on both my torque’s for the last four years. Touch wood.
  • 1 0
@SmasherD: what kind of breaks were you getting with the rear triangle? Glad to hear they sorted it out for you. I'm not on a canyon but you're making me think I should just stick with the 180mm rotor on the back and not push it. 203mm in the front sure does work well.

Canyon put together a build with all of the Fabio components because they are the only components left on the shelf right now. Does anyone but 79 twelve year olds and Fabio really want white and gold stuff with a big F stamped on it?

M and L sold out. Only S and XL available.

Yes. Atleast in my city. But its not an E-bike, so its not en vogue.
  • 8 0
I love Fabio's riding and understand how well he represents his sponsors but I don't get signature products. I never bought a signature skateboard when I was a kid and could't see me buying a signature bike or any other bike related product for that matter. With that being said, he is probably the most marketing savvy athlete in the bike business, his his signature line is top tier and his royalties must be pretty sweet.
  • 4 0
I think it makes sense when its someone like Sam Hill who is known specifically as an outlier for using a particular bit of kit (flats)...

Otherwise... I agree it is a bit silly, but people love to buy sports jerseys so who knows.
  • 2 0
I'd normally agree with you if the 'signature' product is priced higher, but the price on this bike is actually pretty decent for the spec (if that's the kind of spec you're after).
  • 10 0
They should post a warning on the box and website saying: “Fabio’s skill not included with bike purchase. Skill sold separately.”
  • 12 1
So only 80 white chainstays then eh?

I'm amazed at how a lot of you can't shoulder raise 35 pounds....

Man before reading this thread I never knew canyon was known for faulty rear triangles. Couple years ago I had heard about some issue with the seat tube/bb area but heard it was because of that unique seat post design.

The lack of water bottle holder is the one negative about my Torque. I’m willing to bet that it won’t be long until that is fixed, from looking at the e-Torque.

Same, it's my only complaint. Was a bit upset to see they managed to fit a battery AND water bottle in the e-Torque but I have to wear a hydration pack with mine

 The story so far....

Fabio produce loads of videos in a short period of time doing loads of rad stuff
Move to Canyon, sigs for Redbull with the internet fame (lets call him an influencer or youtuber)
Produce a couple of videos in forever
Break yourself
Bring out signature Canyon...

Smells like Canyon didnt get the footage so now want to cash in on a signature bike....

Or am I just being old and cynical?
