Press Release: Canyon UK

Earlier this year saw the launch of the Canyon CLLCTV which included riders of the calibre of the Seagraves and Fabio Wibmer. It didn’t take us long to find some UK riders that share the same obsession for MTB and after starting out with three, we are stoked to add a new rider to the UK CLLCTV line-up.

Welcome, Maya Atkinson!

Our latest addition represented Team GB at the 2020 Leogang World Championships after competing in her first elite World Cup season in 2019. Alongside this, she is also a British Junior National Downhill champion in 2017. Starting out in MTB with her parents in South West England, Maya then found her passion for downhill on holiday in the Alps over the summer. A trip to Val Nord bike park followed by Leogang confirmed this and she’s never looked back.

A racer who loves any kind of biking, Maya's ridden Downhill and Enduro but also turned her hand to XC with friends and fat biking in the snow. Something that is so apparent when speaking to Maya is her love for the MTB community. When discussing her favourite places to ride she makes it clear, fun people and some gnarly riding is what makes it for her.

When asked about the partnership Maya said "Joining the CLLCTV, has been one of the greatest opportunities of my life. I'm stoked to work with such a cool brand to be able to achieve my dreams, it's amazing. Bring on 2021!'

We’re so excited to have Maya in the UK CLLCTV and can’t wait to see what she will achieve in 2021!

Congratulations, A few years back I saw her at FOD, thought I'd see if I could keep up with a Pro DH'er. No chance! She was outta sight in no time.
