That's gonna leave a mark....

Here's a the rundown on my crash from Colorado...

I took it pretty hard in Winterpark and Crankworx Colorado on my first qualifying run. While hitting the last part of the tree ladder bridge section my front wheel missed the landing ramp and went into a shallow ravine causing me to slam face and shoulder first into the rocky ground. I dislocated my shoulder, broke my nose and needed 30 stitches to close the gash over my eye. I'm very greatful to the 7 Mile emergency room for taking good care of me and for Nate Adams, Foote and the rest of the folks in our condo for helping and being there for me. I'm healing up good and hopefully won't need surgery. One thing is for sure, I'll never ride a slopestyle again without a fullface.

*I had my MRI read to me this morning and found out I'm going in for shoulder surgery on tues. to repair my rotator cuff. I will most likely be out for 4-6 months.

Been there done that with the shoulder, luckily I didn't need surgery but I was still out for 5 months. Just don't rush it but if you're like any other mountain biker, you'll be back on your bike before any doctor gives you the ok.

must have had some bad karma laying around. were you doing the signature "urndown" upon impact? those "urndowns" are awesome! Reminder to self, HardHard is awesome but "urndowns" blow!

dumbass! wear a full face helmet everytime and instead of sitting in a hospital bed looking like a loser, you could still be shredding and having a blast! duh. DUH.

That gash is nasty, but the shoulder must be the worst as it puts you out for so long. Heal up Carter.
