The Moab Mechanics are at it again!

I met Glover and Rat Bait bright and early in Moab. The forecast called for 45deg and partly cloudy. Plan for the day was to shoot on upper Ahab and surrounding areas. We lost Glover early to a freak "up hill" crash. That's what happens when you don't hike-a-bike like me! After Rat Bait and I reached the top of Amasa we decided to head to Jackson's Trail. Jackson's makes a loop back to the parking lot... and it's one of the sketchiest trails in Moab. Crazy exposure involving steep switchbacks and slickrock.

It started out fine, a little light mist that made for some awesome lighting for shooting the video. Then, once we were committed to the trail, the snow gods opened up. We decided to keep shooting, I had all my equipment after all. By the end of the trail my gimbal stopped working and the camera was giving me temperature warnings. Rat Bait had toned down his usual bad ass riding to more survival mode.

I couldn't be happier with how the edit turned out though, and again my hat is off to these riders. The videos are nothing without these killers! Glover took a couple stitches to heal up and will be back for the next OFF SEASON installment! They can both be found on Instagram @gofastglover and @rat_bait . I can be found at @tec_gnar_media , Check 'em out!

Nice to see the technical lines that most of us mortals ride in the desert, rather than the huck-to-tranny lines that the real deal riders exhibit in most edits. Sick riding, respect to @rat-bait and @gofastflover!

Every time I think about leaving Utah, I see something like this that reminds me how diverse our options are. Seems like the only thing we're really short on is loam. I thought I saw something resembling that mossy, springy goodness on a north facing slope in PC once, but only once, and I certainly may have been mistaken.

 Love those trails!

Lookin good, Kevin! Have you tried the "little" step-up in the wash? You have to pin the corner right before, and then its a hop to the ledge. There is also a roll-able option just to the left.

Rat Bait's "survival mode" looks better than my "send it" Mode!!

 Needs more slow-mo.
