good on him for hitting a few of those!
  • 125 2
huge respect. that's some serious stuff
  • 106 3
Claudio for president! No groping No lying No e-mail deleting No joking!
  • 32 16
@Coyotecrash: And he doesn't belong in prison!
  • 18 0
"You've got to be kidding me!"
...says every mortal mountain biker when watching Rampage.
  • 5 0
 Impressive TBH!!!
  • 6 0
Serious! That drop was for real!
  • 232 2
"Smells like garlic here" Smile , pretty sure no ones said that in a course preview
  • 84 2
 Thought he said gnarlic
  • 6 1
is Claudio commenting on the big R ???
  • 6 1
Hilarious Claudio. "Smells like Garlic" ha ha! I can't believe he rode that stuff.
  • 126 2
Massive props to Claudio. I never thought he'd ride any of it. Yet another preview that doesn't disappoint. #allhailthekingofpreviews
  • 39 0
Impressive drop at 2:20 that I didn't think he'd do. Well played, sir.
  • 7 1
I think his rampage preview last year was even rowdier.
  • 13 0
@powderturns: Top to bottom I agree, he rode a full line last year, but I don't think he hit anything as big as that cliff drop towards the end of this year's preview, last year. That was out of control!
  • 3 0
@powderturns: what sb666 said. Last year he had the benefit of line choice on a hill sculpted by 40 build crews each year over two consecutive years. This time there are half as many crews breaking in a virgin venue, and they're not even done yet.
  • 4 7
@DHDH: Same here DHDH. But Im sure all this guys must have a 240mm or 267mm rear shock with suck jumps... does any one knows what shock size they could have on?
  • 10 1
@danimarketing28: i don't know what to make of your comment.
  • 5 0
@danimarketing28: That's not how this works, that's not how any of this works!
  • 4 1
@Veloscente: A "Virgin" venue eh Wink
  • 107 0
That "blind thing" kicker... I thought it was going to stop but wooaaahh! Nice one @claudiocaluori @velosolutions
  • 11 1
Could have gone so bad if he had crash and fell on the right side of the mountain!!!
  • 4 0
 Thanks Cap!
  • 78 1
 jesus thats terrifying.
  • 66 3
 Hold my beer.
  • 19 3
 Beers you mean
  • 60 3
@RedBurn: Nobody's holding both my beers, I hit this kind of stuff with one hand on the daily.
  • 56 1
Claudio is the man...not only has he got balls but heaps of skill as well
  • 14 0
 ^couldnt agree more,Claudio big spuds.
  • 6 0
Henceforth: A big set of Claudios
  • 38 0
I'm pretty sure the only reason they moved to a new sight was to keep anyone from dying while trying Vink's line from last year...jk
  • 21 0
 Terrified just watching
  • 18 1
Is the course as treacherous as it looks? It literally looks like you could fall 300 feet if you went slightly off course... have there been any catastrophic falls where this has happened? (I hope not...)
  • 18 1
Utah, New Mexico and Arizona have such great terrain littered with rad spines all over the place. There is nothing like thrill of rippin down a spine as fast as you can out in the middle of no where
  • 33 1
yes, the course is as treacherous as it looks thats the whole point of rampage
  • 10 3
@jaycubzz: I know... It was kind of a rhetorical question. What I was really trying to say is 'how do so many people ride this insane course successfully seeing that there is such a small margin of error?'.

 @bull-dozer: aight fam sounds good
  • 5 0
@bull-dozer: usually ~30 people ride it and 1/3 or them end up in the hospital. This year there are 21 people on the start list.
  • 4 0
Nicolai Rogatkin had a pretty bad fall last year or the year before. He recovered, but it was scary as hell to watch...
  • 3 0
@CC-Dirty-Sailor: Last year Paul Basagoitia was paralyzed at Rampage.
  • 1 0
@Jason300b: that's right... another great rider taking huge risks to evolve our sport. Their passion and dedication seems boundless. My admiration and concern for all those competing at their level is also boundless. I respect them all. I also love Claudio's awesome trail previews. Another Champion!
  • 17 3
Claudio, you make us all smile. I love your boundless energy and humility. Gwin is my boy, but i think i would enjoy meeting and talking with you more than anyone else in the bike industry. Cant wait to watch you and the sport grow over the years. Cheers!
  • 13 0
He hits a big rampage drop after sliding out on a rolling descent, lands it and keeps the comentary going! He is legend. It will be a long off season without Claudio.
  • 12 0
I'm i the only one thinks that those cliff drops are absolutly terrifying? Insane stuff at the new rampage site.
  • 7 1
Half a dozen whiskeys, shut your eyes and scream ya bollocks off..
  • 6 0
Sweet jesus on a tricycle... that stuff is scary as sh1te.
You can talk all you want about go pro's wideangle and how it exaggerates the perception of distance blah blah...
If you fall off the top crest you're hamburger meat (or Bündnerfleisch, as you wish)
  • 3 0
i'm sure claudio would turn into bündnerfleisch on impact.
  • 1 0
@Ohlalaa: Chuck Norris sez Swiss don't break easy :-D
  • 6 0
He doesn't seem to joke as much in this preview, way more serious, and scared. But props to him for having the balls to do that shit he will never find on a world cup track. And I think he was riding clipped in!
  • 5 0
Brilliant. Those drops look insane, I imagine the wide angle adds to the depth a lot but still some of those lines are mental. Respect for hitting that 'small' drop at the end.

Question; where is Warner?..
  • 48 12
Warner?... He's shagging Ratboy on the boat.

You haven't seen it, but you can't unsee it...
  • 5 0
The wide angle does add depth but at the same time standard angle would make some of it look less extreme, the wide angle gives it a 'what it feels like in person feeling'.
  • 11 0
Wide angle makes things look flat, if it looks big on a go pro it is insane in real life. The stuff I do you can't even see on a go pro.
  • 4 0
I think I shit my own pants and im not even on a bike...talk about intense!!! I felt my heart racing as he was coming to just the lip on some of that stuff. I couldnt imagine the amount of intestinal fortitude it would take to manage the stregth within to hit any of this stuff. (BIG RESPECT)
  • 5 1
I never had problems with the old redbull player, but the new one has to be straight from hell! the course looks unreal, I think we will see the craziest rampage so far
  • 6 0
 The french line....too good!
  • 5 0
 Claudio wins rampage for me
  • 3 0
Claudio is the man and thanks to him for doing this and risking his life and limbs for our own entertainment. Can't wait to see this on Friday~
  • 2 1
Hey Guys, I have a problem with the video-player of Red Bull videos, I cannot switch to Full Screen and I also cannot change the Quality of the video. I have this problem only with videos of Red Bull. Maybe anybody can help me..
  • 1 0
cant believe he did that drop and i think his nerves showed in his commentary and made me feel very worried for his safety. Fair play to you for doing that and as they say bravery is not never being scared but is acting even in the face of fear. Good luck to all competitors this year.
  • 2 0
Was out there this year and wanted to roll a few of these in the old area just to get an idea, freakin' terrifying - stay safe everyone!
  • 5 0
 Much respect Claudio !
  • 3 2
If buying an energy drink, it was always Red Bull because of what they deliver for the sport (like free WC DH coverage). But this whole Rampage media ban is just silly and will have me think twice next time...
  • 1 0
it takes away from the immersion of rampage as an event to get hyped up about when you can see through their media strategy so easily...
  • 2 2
The event isn't for a few more days. They gave riders a lot time to do what they need to do and they don't need media all over the place bothering them a week before the event.
  • 2 1
@mfoga: idk... the reason for the media halt has nothing to do with giving riders room for building. it's a strategy and they think it will give them mega$$$... nothing wrong with that, i myself need to get flooded with articles for days to get really fkn hyped af though, to each their own.
  • 2 0
Where is all this mega money coming from by not letting media put there all week? If they were really looking for that why are they letting riders post on social media?
  • 1 0
@mfoga: Yea I'm not sure I get the logic here either. How is Redbull profiting off of not having the assembled media there early in the week? Last I checked there hasn't been much Redbull produced content yet either.
  • 1 0
@sino428: i don't get it either, i'm just pretty sure rb calculates their shit and does what it does for $ not
for the riders.
  • 1 0
@mfoga: I can only suspect it's all about revenue from on-line ads. I can only imagine how many views and clicks PB and Vital took away from RedBull content...

Social posts for riders are part of their profession. Taking that away from them would sparkle much of an uproar I think.
  • 1 0
@szusz: But Redbull didn't really have content either. Also wow all of a sudden the ban is over with a few days before the event. I still believe it was more about letting them work now that the majority of work is done and they are practicing the ban is lifted.
  • 1 0
@mfoga: thats what I was thinking as well. The money argument would have made more sense if Redbull was pumping out its own content and was looking for exclusivity, but they themselves had very little.
  • 1 0
@mfoga: and there is also this quote from a new PB article this morning.... 'Overall the riders are incredibly receptive of the new venue and changes to the event; invited riders only, mandatory rest days, and fewer days for media onsite'.
  • 1 0
F*********ck that.... I'd ride val di sole et al, but not a chance I'd even think of dropping in on that.... That is sh*t yer pants insane. Props to the riders for the build though, quality work.
  • 3 0
Added it to my favorites before I even watched it...
  • 4 1
 "Let's find another way "... EPIC !
