PRESS RELEASE: CLIF Enduro East
The Summer's next big enduro weekend is fast approaching as riders gear up for the two-day Clif Enduro East event at Mountain Creek Bike Park in Vernon, NJ on June 30 and July 1. The event is an official qualifier for the Enduro World Series, here's what you need to know to be a part of the excitement.
Day one will start with a rider's meeting at Mountain Creek Bike Park, then it's up the lift and then a pedal transfer to stage one. The transfer leaves the bike park for some “out of bounds” tracks and some new trails just built for this event.
In addition to the racing, there is a host of fun events for participants. Friday night will offer a late registration and welcoming party at Mountain Creek's Biergarten. Food specials and a free Long Trail beer for every racer will highlight the festivities. On Saturday night, we'll release results of the first day's racing at the Big Bear BBQ in the waterpark along with the Clif BBQ Buffet and another free beer courtesy of Long Trail Brewery. Coffee with Chameleon Cold Brew will be served Saturday and Sunday, along with free Clif bars.
You do not need an EMBA membership to race any class but you do need one to be eligible for EWS qualifying and EWS qualification points.
There will also be amateur classes that will race for great prizes too. The amateur classes will be men, women, and 16-and-under.
This CLIF Enduro East race is an official Enduro World Series qualifier. The winner of each class is automatically qualified for all 2019 EWS races. Additionally, qualifier events, like the three Clif Enduro East races, allow racers to earn points towards a place on the Enduro World Series reserve list. Racers on the reserve list no longer have to apply to the EWS Lottery to gain entry to an EWS race.
The Clif Enduro East events are the only three qualifiers that take place within a few hours of each other. Instead of trotting around the country or globe, racers can earn points with just a short drive between venues. In order to qualify or collect EWS qualification points, you need to have an EMBA license before the event. Licenses can be purchased HERE
. If you're not trying to qualify for the EWS, you do not need an EMBA license.
Courses will be taped by Thursday before the race. Racers can expect to encounter the entire spectrum of enduro challenges over the course of these stages.
The folks at Mountain Creek have added three days of water park lift passes so racers can cool down after a long day of enduro racing and practice.
The Enduro East events may be the biggest things to happen to East Coast enduro racing ever. The affiliation with the Enduro World Series is a huge validation of what we have to offer in terms of riders and terrain. Don't miss out on this opportunity, the race is fast approaching!REGISTRATION HERE
