This is what the Road Gap looks like if you don't pull up.

The track runs through Upper Hairball, a section of the mountain with lots of drops - not an easy task in the mud.

Early this morning we saw short track racing go off through torrential rains. The track ran right through the village, making spectating easy from the windows of the lodges.

Little bit of fun in the mud as racers race for 20 minutes and then have 3 laps to finish on top of however many they did in the allotted time.

Actually suprised that CU's highest place for short track was fifth... I would've thought that they would've done better seeing as Valmont had races throughout the year.

The course felt like riding in peanut butter. To put it into perspective, the winning time was a full minute slower than the year before on the same course. Race day was even worse since there was snow in the mix .
