Defending National Collegiate Champion, Phil Kmetz, took the top qualifying spot for the Varsity category.

The track runs through Upper Hairball, a section of the mountain with lots of drops - not an easy task in the mud.

Getting loose in the berms.
Early this morning we saw short track racing go off through torrential rains. The track ran right through the village, making spectating easy from the windows of the lodges.
Little bit of fun in the mud as racers race for 20 minutes and then have 3 laps to finish on top of however many they did in the allotted time.
