I'm assuming it's because the two sponsors are shimano and trek and none of them including bontrager makes a dropper post.

WTF dude its a free bike! Just take all the parts you dont want off and sell them, then buy what you want or just sell the bike and upgrade what you have. My opinion is that dropper post are awesome for on the fly uphills and downhills for AM riding.

Ditto. Car broke, bike needs work, wedding in August, dropped my phone & cracked it.
Somehow thought I'd tackle a second market for the farm (plus working the day job 50 hours each week). I will spare us the drama and the saga of custody case to see my son. Needless to say we've got our hands full.

I ride a 2014 slash 8 with a few modifications. Have to say... this bike rips the gnarly downhill. The suspension is endlessly smooth and supple. I do have a large volume reducer in my DCVR shock which I find helps soften the blow when you hit the big stuff.
