Congratulations to Pinkbike User: @802mama, winner of the Bike Park Trip of a Lifetime.

You have won…

A Dream Trip for You and a Friend

With four stops in the USA and Canada over 14 days, this will be an action-packed Bike Park Trip of a Lifetime. You will ride some of the best bike parks in the Northern Hemisphere with stops at Mammoth Bike Park, Snow Summit Bike Park, Sun Peaks Bike Park, and SilverStar Bike Park PLUS a bonus day at Whistler Mountain Bike Park in time to catch all the action at the Red Bull Joyride at Crankworx. Read the following press releases to discover what the lucky winners will get to experience.

Mammoth Bike Park

Whether you’re hitting 65 mph down Kamikaze or tail whipping off wooden jumps on Twilight Zone, Mammoth Bike Park has it all. With over 80 miles of singletrack, a summit at 11,053 ft and new trails offering more jumps, berms and drops to feast on, Mammoth is the country’s biggest and best place to ride.

Snow Summit Bike Park

As the premier mountain bike destination in Southern California, Snow Summit has a diverse mix of trails and terrain for riders of all ages and ability levels, including a gravity fed park with lift-served access to six trails and a Skill Builder Park with pump tracks, a jump line, and a pro line. Riders can also explore 60+ miles of cross-country trails that are directly accessible from the Summit base and mountaintop areas. Nestled in the heart of the picturesque San Bernardino National Forest, Summit Bike Park is easily accessible from most points in SoCal and hosts multiple mountain bike competitions and events throughout the summer season, including the annual Crafts & Cranks bike and craft beer festival and Summit Series showcase for local riders.

SilverStar Bike Park

From mid-June to early September, a progressive 125+km combined XC and DH trail network attracts every level of downhill biker to Canada's second largest bike park. A high-speed chairlift offers downhill riders easy access to the top of an incredible selection of flow and technical trails, maintained throughout the season by a full-time trail crew. This is the place to discover everything from beginner biking trails winding gently through wildflower meadows to expert runs filled with berms, jumps and features designed to challenge the hardcore rider. For those new to biking or looking to build on their skills, SilverStar has the coaches, camps and rental fleet to support learning progression.

SilverStar Bike Park is an IMBA Silver Level Ride Centre. In 2017, SilverStar’s Beowulf XC trail was designated as an IMBA Epic.

Sun Peaks Bike Park

Sun Peaks Bike Park has been sending it since 1999 and serves up 595m (1,952ft) of legendary lift-access riding! Situated in the mountains above the BC bike mecca of Kamloops, we serve up chairlift assisted shredding to some of the best bikers in the business. With 40 trails ranging from our signature steep, technical, and downright rowdy hand-built singletrack, to flowy machine-made jump lines and stunning alpine cross country, it’s non-stop stoke for the serious rider. With the lift running from 10 am to 7 pm daily from June 22 to September 3, you can stack laps until your hands fall off before hitting the numerous sunny patios that await in the village to keep the good times rolling.

To round out their trip...

Two nights in Whistler staying at Nita Lake Lodge + $100 Bar Tab for Cure Lounge during Crankworx with a day of riding and watching the Red Bull Joyride.

9 Days of Park? I best be preparing the forearms and hands. Let me just find a pile of 100 bricks to crush with my bare fingers while standing on a jackhammer.

9 Days of Park will be better than *any* nine days at work, that's for sure!

Looks super sick! I’ve only ever been to Whistler bike park, so it would be interesting to see what the other bike parks have to offer!
  • 3 1
I've spent time at Fernie, Pano, Kicking Horse, Big White, Silverstar and Whstler. Whistler is head and shoulders above all of them. SilverStar being second best in my opinion. They set the bar for sure. I've had a lot of fun at all the others but Whistler has is it more dialed. It's also much busier.

I've only ever been to possibly the best and most well known bike park in the world. ahahahhahahahha
#canadianproblems

Whistler is best, but if you can't stand lines then I would highly recommend Silverstar! And when you're there you might as well make the short trip to Kamloops Bike Ranch which is free and pure sex

Cheers from the salmon capital here on Vancouver Island, BC. The orcas are playing down front in between Quadra Island and Campbell River just off the main harbour, is what we call our little ' peace ' of heaven here on the rock. Now like my wife says, get on your bikes and ride..you fat bottom boys, Queen rules.

THANK YOU, PINKBIKE!!!!!! These east coasters are super stoked.
  • 2 2
This is a weird trip, I don't get it, these are two completely different locations. Mammoth and snow summit are right next to eachother, and so are silverstar and sun peaks; however, the two locations are like a 20 hour drive away from each other. How on earth did these locations get lumped together?
  • 1 0
Mammoth and Snow Summit are definitely not right next to each other. Regardless I see your point. Kind of weird locations for a contest give away. Eespecially snow summit, that's a really small park.
  • 2 0
@ccurtis20: Mammoth now owns snow summit and if you buy a summit pass it now also counts as a mammoth pass so maybe that has something to do with it?

For participating bike parks to be a part of this Pinkbike contest it’s on a first come first served basis. We’ll be flying you from San Fran to Vancouver though so don’t worry about the drive. Good luck!
