I know what you mean matt53- it is rocky, it will be slippery, it has got few drops, few jumps, few berms... But nothing big and astonishing to deliver that WOW effect. Maybe we are wrong tho...
don't get me wrong, that track will chew you up and spit you out. it's great for training but a bit too much bike park rather than race course for me to want to race it. it's a great place to ride and i'd go there often if i could.
It's as rough as a badger's arse that track and gets steep in the roughest bits. Had some very close calls on it before, it's a massive relief when you get to the jumps at the bottom still with tyres on your rims
isnt that the sport to ride off road? Have you thought what those rocks do to your suspension?! If you are picky about your wheels have you considered track?
If they finish the track where he stopped then it'll be good...if they decide to continue up the hill, along the flat (which I think they will) it was be won or lost there....which is not a good thing.
rode this a few weeks ago ... serious trail this is i am sure there will be some canucks that say there stuff in canada is gnarlier the black run here is out of this world
And the blue run is the most fun trail i have ever ridden . this is what REAL DOWHILL looks like .
as good as that looks, Rheola should be on the BDS calendar, Rheola is the 2nd best DH track in GB only coming 2nd to Fort Bill WC track, but because its FC land the BDS don't seem to want to know and the FC don't seem to want to help themselves by attracting the BDS either.
your right there, an they are too busy charging for uplifts to happen on FC land when they do nothing to maintain the tracks or even promote the tracks or uplifts, complete joke
Having ridden Antur a few times, and had some 'offs' i can say this place takes no prisioners! That Black Black run is harsh indeed, especially after the flatter pedally at the top. It gets very steep and very rocky and certainly tests both your nerve and skill. When wet it adds a new element to proceedings, cos' those rocks are pretty slippy, fair play to Will Weston for as they say 'nailing it'. For me the best bit is the bottom section including the big drop, after you've fought your way down you're rewarded with some sweet flowing straights and multiple double jumps. That's if your forearms havent exploded, and you've still got a breath in your body. It will certainly test all riders that's for sure, if you like rocky tracks a day there with a bunch of mates is a must. We've certainly had some fun there, and Ade Bradley and the team are great; I don't always wear armour, but i do when i ride there. Go check it out, it's like Marmite 'you either love it or hate it'
i have never been to Antur Stiniog i would like to go mind you, but there looks to be some rather peddally section but i could be wrong will make for an intersting race.
Great place, so much fun. I've ridden this dh centre plenty of times and took part in dhfest last summer here. Looking forward to being a spectator this weekend.
and that not the trail they will use, in the practise last summer they used the other black. matt simmons took first last summer in practice but i am going for either danny hart or gee atherton this BDS.
go f*ck yourself you tit

I know this will probably get me down votes; so to clarify only a bit of fun.
