It feels like it's been too long since we last were together EWS. But you once again have brought us to another brilliant destination with amazing trails. Round four of the Enduro World Series straddles Austria and Slovenia. The trails are here have been a real treat. There is so much natural fresh cut goodness we can't even quantify it with a number. It's quite a lot. Trust us. This one is a big one. 5,026 meters of descent and 96.5 Kilometers covered in two days. There's even a massive tunnel transfer to boot. Dig in with us as we explore this incredible new venue.

The hills are steep and forested which means lots of loamy dirt and a countless number if slick roots.

 What!? A photo containing an Evil on on Pinkbike!? Next they might acknowledge the company exists.

 You know... you're right. Hadn't thought of that before...it is a late MBA and religious conservatism?

 Its not Pinkbike; Evil just doesn’t pay to be promoted.

 what does pitted mean when it comes to mountain biking? he's just riding around a corner? in surfing, its when you're getting smashed around in a barrel. sort of resembling a pit of a fruit. also getting stuck or crashing skiing or snoboarding lol

 In relation to mountain biking the term "pitted" refers to him being pitted my dude

 Pîtted; n. The act of getting pitted (my dudes)
Syn. Roost, schralp, rip, brap

Ie.: 'Bro you see Connor Fearon get all sideways and pitted? That was sick brah.'

 You just get pitted man, so pitted.

 In surfing it means being deep in a barrel. Pit = barrel in surf. Nothing to do with fruit!!

 @JamesR2026: In the wake of the pit's ejection, the core gets chunky, then closes

 This was a course preview not the photos of the event. But as a side, who can ID the car? I have to admit I can't! Looks like an old Datsun maybe, but then the logo on the steering wheel appears to be a harp... I'm stumped.

 @landscapeben: I present to you, Lada 2106: img>https://www.autonavigator.hu/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/155029_source.jpg/img>

 @xviggenx: wow well done! How did you figure it out?
  • + 2
 @landscapeben: Well Slovenia used to be a part of "Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia"/"Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia" after WWII and was loosely attached to USSR back in those days. AutoVAZ/Zhiguli/Lada and it's many sibling companies were basically the only cars available back then. If you wan't to dig deeper into the 2106's history: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VAZ-2106

Also that logo is Lada's, then it was just a matter of finding the right interior via GIS. I'm a pretty good web sleuth Wink
