The EWS has landed in the big mountains of Colorado for round six, and Ric McLaughlin takes on the altitude and the crazy fast and super loose trails of Aspen Snowmass to see what the riders are up against this weekend.
More EWS previews with Chris Ball please. He shreds, he does a good job with the narration, and is literally positioned to provide the most insight as he is the organizer. Its a no brainer.
Haha that was great. I've been loving Tracey's previews but that one was awesome.
As an aside, PB needs to run more competitions to send regular muppets like me to compete in these events. Those trails looked brilliant.
Thank you Chris Ball for making MTB racing great again. F the UCI. Enduro is what we've been doing with our bros for years...pedal up, race down, on your one do it all bike.
As an Aspen/Snowmass local I am psyched to have everyone in town. Trails are being cut up and down the valley as we speak! Its a great time to be a cyclist in the Roaring Fork Valley.
This looks awesome. They need to figure out how to broadcast these events somehow. I know the format doesn't lend itself to that at all but it sure would be incredible.
@nvranka: Just put a Plus tire on the hardtail and the chattery is gonne. all the EWS has gnarly track all ober the year but in USA the trails are for shure less tecnical and rocky. Rider leasing Enduro bikes at home racing with trail bikes. In my opinion EWS should be raced only on trails that are gnarly for an Enduro bike. not with trail bikes like the event in Tasmania where the trails was very nice but the organizers told the racers to come with trail bikes.
That was great, I love these course previews (but they're humbling. However, I found him a little harder to understand (and perhaps a tad less funny) than Claudio. It's amazing that either of them can maintain a rational commentary at high speed over white-knuckle terrain.
2. That looks to be the best enduro courses that Snowmass/Aspen has had yet. Props to BME
3. Chris Ball can absolutely shred
Gonna be a party in Aspen!
Flat white in America?...
