Kamloops, Round 4 of the 2017 MEC BC Enduro Series (BCES), presented by Intense Cycles on Sunday, June 4th, 2017. This round is hosted by hosted by Tourism Kamloops, with support from the Bicycle Cafe and Spoke Bike and Ski.

Kamloops like you never saw it before, Velcro dirt. We are lucky to return to Harper Mountain this year. Harper Mountain is what all mountain bikers dream about, fast flowy trails with a bunch of rock gardens to keep you on your toes, an awesome location with camping on site.

Kamloops Course Release 2017 MEC BC Enduro Series Presented by Intense Cycles

Important Information

• Shuttle Road Speed Limit is 50km/h. Go faster and you will be disqualified from the race. There is zero tolerance.

Do not climb the main shuttle road above the first switchback—it is very dangerous

• Saturday – $100.00 Grass Slalom – One bike, one run, winner takes all. Starts at 6:00pm—there will be beer. Meet at Lodge.
• Do not climb the main shuttle road. This is dangerous. Instead, take Ket'R'Done to the meadow and follow course tape until it hits the secondary shuttle road. Watch for trail crossings and do not remove course tape.
• This event includes a short course. Stage 2 and 4. Same age categories and departure times.
• There will be food available for purchase at the Lodge on Saturday Night and Sunday Morning from Cookshack Craving, bring cash.


Camping

• Camping is available at the lodge. $10 Friday and $20 Saturday – Cash only, bring exact change
• No cooking or food storage in the lodge
• Lodge closes at 11:00pm and opens at 6:00am
• No showers available
• No tenting on the ski hill
• No hookups
• No camping in the meadow/cut block (locals camping spot) – Please stay out
• The Upper Shuttle Rrads are closed Saturday and Sunday
• Please drive slow up the main road. Not faster than 50km/h
• Stage 4 is open for practice on Saturday, from 4:00pm–7:00pm only
• No fires


Full face mandatory for all U21 athletes – if the temperature is above 30-degrees, U21 may choose to wear a half shell.



Saturday, June 3rd

• Shuttles from 12pm–4pm courtesy of Mostly Mental Shuttles. $5 per lap, cash only, exact change. Pickup is at the bottom of Harper Moutain (near the lake) at 12:00pm and drop-off is at the lodge.
• Saturday – $100.00 Grass Slalom – One bike, one run, winner takes all. Starts at 6:00pm—there will be beer. Meet at Lodge.
• Riders must not move course tape
• Creation of 'cheat lines', trail modification or cutting the course, will result in a five-minute penalty. Let's keep the trail enjoyable for the future.
• Please do not 'race' as the trails are not closed to the public during practice.
• Pack all garbage out.
• Please understand that during the pre-ride, the course marking may not be completed and is subject to change.
• Be prepared; Tools, tubes, water, food

This race is taking place on Sunday, June 3rd in Kamloops. We will be in the Harper Mountain trail network.

Sunday, BC Enduro Series West

Departure time is the time departing from the staging area. Riders must not be on the trails before that time.

Schedule, Sunday June 4th:

• 6:15am Registration volunteers only. Meet at the registration tent
• 6:30am volunteer and first-aid meeting: Meet at the registration tent
• 7:00–7:30am: U21 and U15, 21–29 and U21 Women and Open Women Registration
7:30am: U21 and U15, 21–29 and U21 Women and Open Women depart
• 7:30am–8:00am: 40+ Men Registration
8:15am-ish: 40+ Depart
• 8:00–8:30am: 30–39 Men Registration
8:40am-ish: 30–39 Men Depart
• 8:30–9:00am: Pro Men and Pro Women Registration
9:15am-ish: Pro Men and Pro Women Depart

Anyone who leaves prior to their departure time will face a three-minute penalty.

***Course closes at 4pm***
All racers must be completed by 4:00pm. We will start to pull people from the course at 3.30pm


Bike Apres

The Apres will be located at the Harper Mountain Lodge and the Cookshack Craving is going to take care of the Catering.
Red Collar Brewing is providing the tasty beer.

• The food Station is located in the meadow, you will pass it twice
• There is a water station located at the top of Stages 3 and 4 (Unicorn and Easy Rider (Flow trail))
• This is a big day, be prepared
• Bring bug spray

Camping

BC Enduro Series
  Camping/Layout for the weekend—If you park in "no parking" zones, you will be towed.

We've rented out the ski lodge to give some basic amenities and help set the mood.

• $10 for Friday night (cash)
• $20 for Saturday night (cash)
• Washrooms—No showers (but a lake three minutes away)
• Drinking water available
• No internet or electricity
• Beer and wine tastings on Friday night
• Tents on Grass
• RV's in flat level lot
• No fires
