PRESS RELEASE: Fire in the Mountains Charity enduro raceWe're thrilled to welcome racers to the inaugural Fire in the Mountains Charity enduro race at Smith Creek Trails in West Kelowna BC. The West Kelowna Professional Firefighter Association is stoked to welcome riders to the first-ever enduro race in West Kelowna BC with proceeds given back to the
BC Burn Fund,
West Kelowna Trail Crew Society, [PI=https://adaptiveadventures.ca/activities/]Cris Adaptive Adventures[/PI] and the Okanagan Boys and Girls Club.
The course will include four stages with approximately 1250m climbing and timed descents. This will make for around 28km in the saddle!
Race Package PickupRace package pick up on Saturday May 14th from 09:00 – 11:00 and will be at West Kelowna Fire Rescue Station 31 at 3651 Old Okanagan Hwy, West Kelowna. We will have a tent outside of the corner of the building by the flagpole; see attached photo. There is very limited parking along the side of the building, so consider parking across the road and walking over. Keep your bike secure or even better don’t leave it unattended!
Race Day Schedule09:00 The first category released will be u18 participants along with supporting riders AKA guardians. From this time onwards, any participants concerned about cut off times may also begin the transition to stage 1.

16:00 Awards and raffle prizes to all participants after the last rider on course clears.
Each timing chip must be returned after the race, there is a $20 fee if it is not returned. Timing chips will be collected at the end of the race and exchanged for your raffle ticket and meal/beverage! The raffle has some great prizing from We Are One, Sovereign Cycle, Bike Big White and more!
Parking is limited and we highly suggest carpooling to the event. Parking will be directed to be single file along Smith Creek road to maintain emergency access and out of courtesy to neighboring properties. It is an easy pedal from even the farthest parking spot, but try to remember everything you need as it will feel long if you forget something! The new Smith Creek Rec Site parking lot will be reserved for race operations and emergency vehicles. Volunteer parking will be on the other side of parking of the venue, and will not be available for participants parking.

Try that one. It’ll be embedded eventually.
Should be in your inbox now. Mail chimp fail there. And we were out taping the course so we didn’t realize our blunders! Nice to get them out of the way before race day!
Sorry, I'm still learning how to blog on Pinkbike haha
