 its linked to April (the fourth month) 20th, therefore 4:20, and what happens that day you ask, well we all celebrate Hitlers birthday! well maybe just me everyone else just calls it national pot day, in regards to the day Bob Marley died (I think he was also born April 20th too) i think its more of a North American thing tho...

 420 is not when Bob Marley died or when he was born. It all started back in the day at some highschool in Cali. a group of students would go out after school at 4:20 and get high. And then they just moved it over to a date, April 20th.

( 4:20 its just a good time of the day to get high and chill. and its for the mount 4 that = April. and 20 = the day at the end of the mount when it started to be nice out side around the 17 C for the dat to start your seed and plant your out door weed for the new season. )
