Day 4 of Crankworx - Bungee Jumping!

Aug 11, 2010
by Jordan Holmes
Day 4 of Crankworx Whistler was a fairly quiet day again. The slopestyle riders got a chance in the early afternoon to ride the course and everyone seems pumped on it, and while that was going on I got to go bunjee jumping. Pretty awesome day all around...

Here are some images from the day...Day 4 of Crankworx was a fairly quiet day with the exception of the Slopestyle course being opened to the public. In the early afternoon I got a chance to do something I've always wanted to do, bunjee jump! You will see an article in the next couple days on that, but without further ado here are some images explaining what happened today.

Big thanks to Lens Rentals Canada as well for sending through some lens's that have allowed me to take some unique shots. In these photos I used a Canon 70-200mm 2.8 IS II, and a 24mm 1.4L II, two very nice lens's! Thanks again to them!

They need to make those custom remedys productions bikes, so awesome. They'd sell TONS.

i agree with shred-NZ i would buy one straight up, im lookin for a slope/play bike but they are hard to find a decent one at the right price in the UK i think the trek would be ideal

Yeah I wanted to get a trek remedy for an all round play bike, but they're too trail-aimed for anything park-like. So I got a Tranny Double. Its going awesome.

If they were to produce them, they would cost close to $7000....would you pay that? It's hard enough to sell a khs Lucky 7 brand new for $1700. An sx trail will do anything the remedy will do, and more...reality sux, but it's reality.

tookthe words right out of my mouth i would like one its just not really reality though..

jon were only on about the frame it wouldnt cost 7000k for that!! khs and a big company in the uk, trek are, popularity makes all the difference in retail . . .
  • 1 0
 sorry, ... khs AREN'T* ...
  • 1 0
but the remedys slopestyle bike, i would think that it would be very expencive.
  • 1 0
i highly doubt that, IMO the frame would cost alot less than the session frame as the air shock is cheaper than a high end coil is and DH frames always carry a premium, if it was released as a frame only + rp23 i think the retail would be around £1600 GBP, £1700 at most!

all I'm saying is that you have to look at it from a retailer's standpoint...a bike like that would sit on the floor for 2 years until the right person came in...then you would probably be selling it at a discount. Bikes like that don't make big money...it's the service. I also have no idea what premium you're talking about. Maybe UK and Can are different... was using the lucky 7 as an example, because thats what we sell them for($1700 for 7" coil fsr full bike)...when is the last time you looked at the price tag of a trek? Premiums are put on pro-builds(like this remedy would be)

dude STOP mentioning builds, were talking about a frame JEEZ. no-one says it has to be sat in a showroom, plenty of people want this sorta thing, the reason it doesnt sell is coz it isnt available!!! i work in a bike shop like yourself and cant see a problem with this bike being a production frame for the public to purchase. and FYI i checked the trek RRP's very recently as its MY JOB TO SELL THEM, the reason your shop hasnt sold the khs is coz no one wants that, they want a proper DH or freeride frame from a better company

i am hoping to get a trek fuel and change things as they break. the cranks and stem and cable routing is going right away. (Hammerschmidt, sette block, cables through headtube for barspins, tailwhips etc.)

dude i did the SAME thing but then i just got a dj bike
