pretty sure he has a retainer or his mouth gaurd still in because if you listen to him talk at contests, and then listen to him in something like his episode on mtv cribs, his voice sounds regular.
As his wife I find all this speculation highly amusing (not really). Brett is a wonderful person, a true nice guy, amazing father and has always stopped help people and to lend a hand in the biking world any way he can. Good job to everyone at Whistler Creek Productions, and thanks for inviting us into the inner circle of what's going on here at Crankworx.
You don't have to defend Brett anyone who knows him knows how great of a person he is. He is great for the sport ! It's too bad more people aren't as stoked as him !!!
its coz all the kids are emo these days. they know nothing about enthusiasm and when some one is enjoying themselfs its easier to cut them down at the knees then join in coz they feel they will be ridiculed for havn abit of a good time. Brett Tippe is a legend in my book, him and Schley. i live in NZ and i still know about the history of the sport i choose. Like Christophish (below comment) says "do your homework kids" kids before you post stupid comments.
Tippie gay? anyone who knows him would know he has spent the last 20 years with women hanging off him (no offence to his wife)and is the KING of "doing stupid and crazy shit" and any of those punks bad mouthing him should spend every night praying they had half the talent he has. all the stupid f*cked up kids should try and meet Brett and after hangin with him for 10 mins they would bow down to their new God..keeep it real Brett!
MEGA props for Tippie, guy's a great pioner of freeriding and a cool promoter of our sport. He is having fun while doing his job instead of being worried all the time if he looks cool
I was actually a bit disappointed with the best trick comp, seemed like most of them were holding back and protecting themselves for the slopestyle. Fair enough, I would too but I think we don't really see the riders best tricks.
Maybe they should hold this comp after the slopestyle finals, kind of a big send off.
lol, I doubt it... unless hes a trained fighter as well. weight means squat. I'll fight a 200+ lb guy easier than a 150 lb guy. It's the big guys that are easy to drop and keep down, it's the small ones that keep getting up. (if you have been in fights you would know that...)
man this is awesome. first off this kid is calling a pioneer of our sport gay because tippie's enthusiastic about our sport, then he's giving tippie's wife advice about fighting! well, rffr you are now the standard in which i measure all other keyboard douchbaggers against on this site. lmao.
lol all I did was state he sounded fem. Did I say he was lame, or a douche? Did I disrespect his work he has put into the sport. No. Man you guys get so sensitive and butthurt so quik. The world has turned into a bunch of pussies.
@rffr Femwaddin, WTF?? 1. add additional on topic info to the article that other users will find useful 2. add props and support/encouragement for the video/photo/article/product/story 3. add and explain constructive criticism for the video/photo/article/product/story I call TROLL
lessee, in 1995 tippie was pioneering freeride mtn biking and making movies like "Traction" and "kranked 1" -not too long after, and you guys were...sperm maybe? and now he's (a father and) a tirelessly enthusiastic promoter of our sport and, goofy maybe, but engaging and approachable character who's involved in lots of big mtn biking comps, and now you guys are... sitting in front of your laptops making fun of people's voices. good on ya tippie. people in the game long enough know your value to the sport.
Tippie in Kranked I, II, III and IV, Red Bull Rampager and all round awesome person. A bit of trivia, Tippie was on the Canadian Snowboard National Team for GS and boardercross and competed on the world cup circuit for many years, so not many people realize that yes he's a freeride pioneer, but also a world class racer.
hey mulchee, let brett know that he was one of the guys who first got me stoked to ride bikes just for the sheer fun of it. he was always an inspiring rider and now he's a great personality for our sport. i'm sure all the older riders on this site feel the same way. hope you guys have a great time in whis this year. cheers, obee.
i want to ride that pump track! so dam fast and flowy (or at least the pros make it fast and flowy)

and why is there just 2 sec of coverage of the pump track contest?
