It still saddens me that mountain bike gated racing has gone the way of the dodo here in N. America. Kudos to Europe for make the 4x Pro tour so successful! With how many bike parks there are in the US right now that have DS courses, I hope we see the day when we can organize events again.

Clearly we have alot of room for improvement but posting about extinction that very events page is foul. So instead of flying with a Dodo, you might perhaps consider the blue footed booby.

Indeed, dual slalom is the grass roots of this sport and one of the most exciting races to watch but even better to compete in...total carnage! I just wish we could turn back time to the mid 2000's to grab dual and 4x by the balls and take it to the next level it deserves.

Commentators were battling with the whole BMX v MTB argument, Do they not realise that some of these riders are successful in both discipline and have held world championships in both in the same year. Otherwise a great coverage of a very entertaining event.

Looked like Mitch missed a gate when he almost crashed in the first run against Kyle (around 1:16:10). Strange that they didn't se that! Buchanan missed the same gate in her semi and got a +2.50 and lost to Beerten.

Don't understand the point of jumps with no backsides in a comp like this. At those speeds, nearly impossible not to land flat.
