What an event to kick the year off! After five days of amazing times, podium results and celebrating bikes, Crankworx Rotorua is officially over. As our first event of the year, we were all super keen to see what Rotorua would bring and it didn't disappoint. The highlight for the team had to be our pocket rocket, Tracey Hannah grabbing a 3rd in Pumptrack and a 2nd place in the DH.

Sam Reynolds took out a 10th in the Slopestyle that will be remembered for incredible riding but more the spirit shown in celebrating the life of the late, great, Kelly Mcgarry. We will never forget you. Alex took a great 8th place in the DH and this bodes well for the rookie pro heading to Lourdes. Andrew Neethling was close behind in 10th with Mick Hannah having a big crash but still taking 13th place! All the riders have real speed this year and we are excited to see what they can do at Lourdes. Of course, team manager, Fabien Cousiné wanted in on the action too and took a fine 3rd place in the Air DH - The man has skills! The team will now begin the EWS series and World Cup DH in the coming weeks - so stay in touch by checking back.

Can someone explain the difference between the air downhill and regular downhill events. Thanks

Air downhill is a race down a jump trail essentially, and the downhill is down a real race course.
