Kendal Mountain Festival is the largest and longest annual gathering of outdoor folk in the UK, the event has been running since 1980 and attracts thousands of people each year. There are so many amazing events happening over the 4 days. We have picked out the best bits for you guys, which are below!

On Friday, 16th, Bike Night will be running. This evening hosts some of the biggest names in the biking world, and joining the line up will be two of the Atherton siblings. Gee and Dan will be talking about their most recent adventures, about life on the road and how they have all become such successful riders. Specialist photographers, Enduro and off road riders will also be part of the session!

There is also a film awards aspect to the festival. From hundreds of film entries there have been 90 films picked to be shown. The bike highlights of this line up include:

- Lee Craigie, who will be co-presenting the Bike Night, and Ricky Cotter star in the film Divided. They raced from Banff, Canada to the Mexican border on the Tour Divide - the most awesome thing about this film is that they captured it all themselves whilst racing.

- RJ Ripper, a film about the brightest Mountain bike hope to appear from Kathmandu. At 21 Rajesh is a 4-time national champion and is pursuing his childhood dreams of shredding on the awe-inspiring trails of the Himalaya.

- How did Freeride Mountain Biking begin? The, until now, untold story of how this sport was carved and created. The Moment has been a long time coming and now it has landed, featuring the legends who invented this sport.

- When Steve Bate was told he would go blind within 4 years, he decided he would take on as much as possible before he lost his vision. This resulted in him entering the Rovaniemi 150, a gruelling self-supported fat bike race through the Arctic tundra of Finnish Lapland. Focus tells the story of this race and the challenges he faced.

- Ice and Palms, documents Jochen Mesle and Max Kroneck adventure bikepacking and skiing across the alps. A pretty rad watch!
