Hes such a good rider to watch, so different...But would he just learn barspins already? I mean he 360s down massive sets and is manualing ledges and what not, why not go further with the "bmx" aspect
dude if he can tailwhip with his cables he can barspin haha he prolly just dosent want to! if your danny you do whatever you want! haha
what he needs is a freecoaster!
He does no need a free coaster, He needs engament...
Also he should just start doing tricks like more whips and barspins. Hes so good at trails, but I mean you can only get so good at it before it starts to look the same
I just checked out the digdeep.com website...can someone say overpriced? $50 for a t-shirt? $133 for jeans? haha, yeah, no thanks. Good for Danny getting such a high-class company though.
Danny should be thankfull that xt-shreder is here to give him free career advice, and direction on how to improve.
"you can only get so good at it before it starts to look the same"
This could be said for most aspects of the sport... Dirt Jumping and Slopestyle for example, you could say it's the 'same' tricks over and over, whith a couple of new ones here and there.
Yes dj/street/sloplestyle is just tricks over and over again, and no his riding will never get old. But for example when he did the 360 down the set to that 180 stall to 180 the rest of the set, than did the same 180 stall to 180 on the next set i was kind of let down. I mean what an unreal line...but tell me it wouldnt have looked better if he did something different? you would have shit you pants if he tailwhipped the last set instead...don't lie
@xt-shreder: giving lessons to Danny about his style is nearly as stupid like teaching God tolerance towards sexual minorities in Gomora yes... God is so not modern... and Danny is so not BMX... he wears a helmet for God's sake!
Im not saying anything negative, he has got to be the best trials rider out there, Im not giving him lessons. fuck off.
Im just saying and we can all agree. He could be the best trials rider...and one of the best pure street riders in the world.
Why? What makes you think you know what's good for him? You think too much... he's damn great and provided us so far with more than enough entertainment and inspiration
Im going to try one more time.
I think danny is the best trials rider in the world, no question.
I also think he could be one of the very best street riders in the entire world.
I see what you mean, but I'd say he is one of the best, he rides really creative lines and makes good use of his surroundings, I don't think throwing in the odd barspin here or there is really going to set him apart from everyone else (which is what most of the top bmx street riders already do). And as for new tricks, he's learned (fairly recently) how to front flip of off stuff, which is something you don't see that often in street riding.
Its not just barspins, plus with his long stem that wouldn't work. And he is the best trails rider, But pure street riding hes around top 10-15. I simply think that tricks are going to be the way to go. Hes so good he could hop around and balance like a god. But what next? hes going to run out of ideas eventually. And no frontflips on street arn't that big but there is a few people that have been doing them for a while now.. No disrespect to danny, but he can only get better
let it go man... I recommend you to sit and watch it like a train going by... enjoy it... otherwise you will end up like one of those pricks who make me hate football above all games: a morong with beer on sofa, shouting advices to TV, then going around trying to sound knowledgable to his mates of the same kind bla do it for the fans bla fokin blaa... treating "sport stars" like they own them as sources of own entertainment
I meant treating "sport stars" as sources of own entertainment not as human beings... you continue it, you end up like one of those pricks who praise the sport they don't even practice - which is pretty much a masturbation...
If me saying danny could be way better is ruining his riding than...well I really have no words for that. This video blows my mind everytime i watch it.
he probably cant do barspins because on trials bikes the the stem is really long and sticks out queit a bit so if he was to turn it 180 degrees it would probably hit him in the leg stoping the spin. not to sure though thats my guess.
everytime i watch danny he blows me away and the best thing is watching peoples reactions and half of them people in london dont have a clue what hes doing so its like the best thing they have ever seen and seeing there reactions makes you feel good for him cos there fucking stoked and hes so smooth and plays it cool.
I want to see him ride backwards down the stairs now. He can 180 from back to front seemingly a million miles already. I am sure riding down backwards is easier, but I've never seen it.
I would think you'd need a freecoaster...since if you pedal backwards on stairs your pedals would probably hit. I've seen it done with freecoasters though
I can't even imagine having that kind of control on a bike. It's so awesome to see him take everyday streets and turn them into his own playground. I love the reactions from the people on the street, "Wait did that actually just happen?"
If he can drop 12-15ft to flat on a trails bike I don't want to know what he could do on a big squishy bike...
Awesome! Everybody loves this guy-even my boring old step-mom! Interesting that he is running a pulley tensioner-is this better in some way than proper single-speed dropouts? Maybe he puts gears on sometimes? Awesome!
hes already done all that if you payed attention
long cable and ront brake sent through the head set
he just has them euro style so it looks weird for us
his stem is too long for barspins, the bars would hit his legs. its not about the brake cables, i do barspins on a dj bike with a front and back brake and i have no issues. plus, he does tailwhips all the time.
ah, the long stem...ya i feel like a dumbass for not thinking about that. But I really think he should bring more street next video, like "bmx" street.
It might have something to do with the size of his frame too as it's really low. It would make it really hard to pinch the saddle between his knees (or his shins...) to hold the front end up whilst doing the trick.

My point is clearly lost here(execpt on dingus who was mature enough to execpt opinions)
goodbye

i only noticed it on my 10th time watching the video
