The Dates
Bootleg Canyon Gravity Racing (B.C.G.R.) will kick off the gravity racing season on January 15-17, 2021 with the DVO Nevada State Gravity Championships Enduro presented by GT Bicycles. B.C.G.R. has hosted a few smaller events since COVID-19 changed the world and has learned how to practice social distancing while keeping 100% of the sporting side of the events intact. We are looking forward to state guidelines relaxing for the Mob n Mojave on February 12-14 and the Reaper Madness on March 12-14 but know how to put fun events on if state directives do not change. The team from NW Cup Timing will be providing fast and accurate results for the series with Roots and Rain providing assistance on the overall series winners. Two credible rider-owned companies that can be relied on.
Bootleg trails require full-on focus

The Prizes, Cash, and Raffles
At all DVO Winter Gravity Series Enduro presented by GT Bicycle events, we will award all amateurs that place in the top 3 a medal. All 18 and under will also receive a prize of their choice from our sponsor prize tables. All pros will receive medals and their cash award. Cash for the downhill races is provided by DVO Suspension while GT Bicycles takes care of the Enduro Pro/Open cash purse. For all 3 events, we will award $2,000 cash to the pros. GT will also be supplying high-end raffle items for each of the amateur Enduro races. As always, Trucker Co will pay the fastest Junior Expert (Category 1/fifteen-eighteen) $100 cash. For the finals in March, all age brackets will be invited to the prize tables. By the time the series finishes up a total of well over $30,000.00 in cash, prizes, and raffle items will be awarded from our series sponsors.

COVID Guidelines and Lower Pricing
In order to comply with the new state guidelines that are in effect until January 15, 2021, we must do a few things differently, but have learned how to make these things more efficient and affordable. Here are a few changes for the early 2021 season that we think you will like.
* No more onsite registration which will save racers $25 and save enough time for an additional practice run.
* No more charge for the Friday shuttle which will save downhiller's $25.
* The price for juniors in the 11-14 age bracket has been lowered by 25%.
* Open-Air shuttles that will operate at no more than 50% capacity.
* Select hours for open practice per discipline and category if needed.
* Masks required.
* Temperature check upon arrival.
* Field limits will be set at 50 on Saturday morning, 50 on Saturday afternoon, 50 on Sunday morning, and 50 on Sunday afternoon.

 NEWS RELEASE: December 24, 2020 Update
SOURCE: Bootleg Canyon Gravity Racing

The January Downhill race (2021 DVO Nevada State Gravity Champs Enduro presented by GT Bicycles) has officially sold out. We apologize to the many racers that did not register in time, but a couple of dozen entries remain for Saturday’s Enduro race.

We are seeing the DVO Mob in Mojave in February and even the DVO Reaper Madness events start to fill up as well, so if possible, please sign up as soon as you can for those events.

Series news: We will count only 2 races instead of all 3 to keep the DVO Winter Gravity Series alive and competitive. We realize this may result in more ties than usual, so we will figure out a new tie break rule that works for this series.

The Optimistic Wait List Idea:
We just created a Wait List for DH and you will see it on the registration page called, “DH if Guidelines change on 1-15, 2021”. There is no charge or credit card needed to get on the Wait List, just your name and email.
Here is the optimistic part. On January 15, 2021 (the same day as the event starts), Nevada governor, Steve Sisolak will make a speech regarding the 3-Week Pause that ended up being an 8-Week Pause. If he relaxes state guidelines to where they were prior to this 8-Week Pause, an additional 50 DH entries would be available for Sunday. If you are on that Wait List, you will be notified immediately by email and have a short window of time to sign up.

We are constantly monitoring the ever-changing COVID pandemic, studying safe practices, and thinking outside the box so these events can continue in a safe manner. We greatly appreciate your understanding and patience throughout this unusual time.
