Details Announced for Enduro MTB Series Season Opener in Świeradów-Zdrój

Jun 15, 2021
by Enduro MTB Series

The organiser of the first Enduro MTB Series event, in addition to Saturday's racing on breathtaking natural trails, has planned plenty of family-friendly activities, including a Sunday mini-race for the kids, MINI demo cars, guided bike trips and skills courses. Here is everything that awaits you at the weekend of 26-27 June in Świeradów-Zdrój.

Come to Świeradów on Friday!
The appetite for racing is strong this season - as we write these words, there are already over 300 names on the entry list, the Hobby groups have sold out, and there are the last available places left in Pro. There's still a slim chance that a small extra number of entries will be available - keep an eye on the Enduro MTB Series Facebook and Instagram profiles.

Due to such a large turnout, we encourage you to collect your start pack on Friday (25 June) evening already. The race office at the school complex at Skłodowska 2 street will be open between 17:00 and 22:00, and the starting packs will be - as always in the Enduro MTB Series - the best! Nutrend drink and bar, eLube oil, Nikwax waterproofing, KRESTO 'Student mix', and... a surprise from MINI Sikora and the organisers.

Saturday 26 June, that is the enduro race
Your appetite will be satisfied by special stages combining old paths with new, extremely varied sections, which were prepared thanks to the cooperation with the City of Świeradów-Zdrój and Świeradów Forestry Commission. Local rider Maciej Bała made sure there was something for everyone: hardpack alpine sections, soft loam, roots and a handful of man-made features. Mateusz Baliński, Whyte Racing rider, also had his input into the final shape of the stages. A hefty dose of endorphins after each of the stages will also be guaranteed by their perfect preparation, courtesy of Makita's cordless tools.

From Uzdrowisko Świeradów (corner of Zdrojowa and Parkowa streets), first the Pro groups will set off, followed by the Hobby groups. Due to the restrictions still in place for non-professional events, the organisers are slightly changing the morning start procedure. "The technical briefing will be probably available in our social media as a short video, so that the riders do not have to appear all at once at the start in the morning. We will also provide an hourly schedule of each group's start beforehand. This way, we will comply with the current restrictions and those from the later starting groups, instead of waiting a long time for their departure, will simply turn up at the appointed hour"- says Grzegorz Miedziński, race organiser. Before the start each rider will have to sign the start list, then he or she will receive the map, the start schedule and his or her timing chip will be activated. Keep in mind, without this racing will not be possible.

The second special stage will be followed by a feeding station provided by Nutrend and a technical zone where Bike Garden Service will help with minor repairs.

After the third special stage, the Varta Power Challenge, the Hobby groups will finish their race (remember to return the timing chip just after the finish line!), while the daredevils of the Pro groups will set off for the last, fourth special stage. At the finish line, a regeneration meal will be waiting for you at the feeding station (as always, it will be served upon presenting your starting number).

After a short rest, we invite you to Hotel Cottonina (Sanatoryjna 7 street), where the winners will be crowned and valuable prizes will be drawn, including TSG helmets, HAMMER Explorer smartphones, participation in MINI Track Days on the race track and vouchers sponsored by Elemenets Hotel building investment suites in Świeradów Zdrój. The waiting time for the award ceremony may be longer due to the number of competitors and a multitude of rankings, so we encourage you to spend it by the fire with a meat or vege meal (again, your starting number will come in handy!).

Sunday 27 June, with a mini-race for the kids, MINI test drives, bike rides and skill courses
The thrill of racing will be maintained by a competition for the youngest: Cottonina Kids Race. A short and very simple course for children up to 6 years of age will be held on the premises of the Cottonina Hotel. Free entry and prizes for all participants should be enough of an incentive for the whole family to come to Świeradów. An additional motivation may be the opportunity to take free nutrition advice and body composition analysis.

On both Saturday and Sunday there will also be an opportunity to explore the MINI range. Featured models to be presented by the MINI Sikora dealer include: MINI Cabrio John Cooper Works (230 hp), MINI Countryman Cooper S ALL4 (178 hp) and MINI Cooper SE Electric (184 hp).

There will also be a Makita Demo Car, where you will have the opportunity to sample many pieces of equipment and ask about every detail of the design and performance of Makita tools.

Yet this is not all! We have also arranged two variants of bike trips guided by the local riders: Family (for beginners) and Explorer (for mountain bikers). You will need your own bike in working order and a helmet (we also recommend knee and elbow pads). We meet at the Cottonina Hotel at 10:00.

Also for the riders, we have an offer of skills training with Mateusz Baliński. The Whyte Racing rider will take you to one of the race special stages, for a practical analysis of the racing lines and other off-road skills. The training is paid extra, and the availability is limited - you can sign up at mt.balinski@gmail.com.

If the goal is to get word out in English, then it would make sense for the P.R. people to have a native speaker rewrite that. The article reads like a budget translation.

Probably it is better written than your translation of the article into polish.

@epcm: Na pewno tak, ale gydyby (byłoby?) moje artykuł na pewno prosiłybym Polaka sprawdzić to.
And that's the point, cholera jasne.

For me, a Pole, it also looks odd and doesn't read well. Even a short glance of a native speaker before publishing would make this article more "English user-friendly".
