So it's like DH with two runs?

It's a 3-stage enduro with a twist - it's fully lift assisted, and you have the option of a second run down each stage. Your overall time will be calculated using your best time from each stage.

@sspiff I see what you did there!!

@racecascadia: So it's a DH race with two runs

@tcmtnbikr: On 3 different stages, correct. Its not an enduro race by definition but it seems like a really fun race to do regardless. I could care less about what they call the racing format.

Sooo, multi stage downhill race, not Enduro. Knew the sport would get here eventually. Can we just go full circle and call it Super D?

on one hand this sounds like a dream race, but on the other hand it really isn’t an enduro race. I hope this sticks around so I can hit some next season. More new races are never a bad thing.

Looks sick. Wish there was one closer to SoCal. Add another stop next year at mammoth or Big Bear

Sounds like a great race, I like the idea of the format

I did the Mt. Bachelor last year and it was a blast, the extra run was really great to be able to go back and re-do the one I messed up.

Sick I’m down for Shasta for sure!!! Hop a freight to Dunsmuir

Is this just taking over for the previous lift assisted enduro race held at Mt Bachelor?
  • 6 0
Yes, the same race as the 2018 Volcanic Enduro, now turned into the Full Tilt, a 3-stop series.

 @racecascadia: Podium pictures?

There is a series in the Rockies that has taken over some of Scott Cups venues. Check out @TeamTrailParty for dates and venues

So pedaling uphill is not included in the full tilt series, more power to ya.
  • 3 1

Great minds think alike....but we thought of it first.
  • 2 2
Why Sunvalley? The trails are like A cross country trail.
  • 3 1
agreed, but i'm still interested to see how the new format goes over. i might try the bachelor race.
  • 1 3
That’s a sketchy lift no safety bar.
  • 4 1
@Xc2dh1 There is a bar, they just don't have it pulled down.
  • 1 3
They are not considered safety bars they are foot rests. Plenty of people still get into trouble with the bars. Kids slipping under them, people forgetting to lift them when trying to unload and people getting packs and loose clothing hung up them are a few very common issues. Ski areas do not or should not call them or claim that they are a safety device. Unless they enjoy litigation.
