Year after year, British 4X has provided action and drama that is always exciting and unpredictable. We are looking forward to more of the same in 2023. The format for the year will be the best 7 rounds out of 9 to count towards the overall series titles giving riders some flexibility to make some mistakes and put the best scores forward.
Then the 2023 4X National Championships will take on a new look in 2023 as the event makes its debut at the Malverns Classic Mountain Bike Festival. 4X will showcase at Britain's biggest Mountain Bike Festival for the very first time. In addition there will also be the rebirth of the Dual Slalom National Championships on the same weekend.
Series organiser Chris Roberts said:
“2023 will be a great year of 4X racing. We are celebrating our 20th anniversary and want to make this season the best yet. With 9 rounds in 2023 there will also be more chances for riders to get involved in 4X and discover just how great this sport is. The gateway to gravity for rippers and the head-to-head racing fix for older riders. 4X always delivers.
We look forward to welcoming new riders especially those from other cycling disciplines like BMX, DH and Enduro. With no major date clashes with other disciplines, 2023 will be the ideal time for them to try 4X.
I would also like to say a huge thanks for the continued support from Schwalbe. Schwalbe have been a partner with our series for the majority of our 20 years and we can’t thank them enough for their belief and support of our sport.”
