Matt MacDuff, tuck no at our last dirt jump clinic.
Press Release: WFMBikeWhistler’s only dirt jump competition is set to go down at the Riverside jumps, aka Fitzsimmons skills park, on August 28/29. Beautiful British Columbia will be the backdrop to this FMB Bronze event that is open to men and women, and has a total pro prize purse of $3500! The competition format is best of two runs for qualifications and finals for the pros & semi pros. Two runs, best of for amateurs. There are prizes from our sponsors for the top three amateurs and semi pros.
Sarah Walter on the double blacks.
Whistler Sessions has a dirt jump line for all competitors so you and your friends can rip together. Amateurs will be on the blue jump line, semi pros on the single blacks, and pros on the double black jump line. We like offering people the opportunity to compete without the pressure of trying to perform above their skill level. We don't have an official strider/green course category, but we invite you to come out during practice on Sat to ride the green line. Waivers will need to be signed for any green line riders.

Only athletes who have signed waivers will be allowed in the lower deck area of the Whistler dirt jumps(Fitzsimmons Skills Park) during practice and the competition days, see schedule below for times. Spectators are welcome and can cheer people on from the upper deck. Please leave space for regular park users.
Our events are about growing the freestyle community while rubbing elbows with the pros, it's always inspiring to see what tricks people have dialled. Bike events like this help you create new trick goals and grow your skill level exponentially. Getting women on the jumps and participating in women's freeride/freestyle events has always been WFMBike's goal. As well as providing grassroots and up and coming riders with an opportunity to showcase their skills and get valuable points & results for their portfolios. We are really happy to open this event up to guys as we all need a venue to progress. Whistler being the bike mecca of Canada, possibly the world, needs more events like this.
Keep your eyes on this one, Sebastian Riopel!
All competitors must be
pre registered, and FMB athletes must have
current membership to receive points. Membership is free at the bronze level. We have two judges on deck who are seasoned riders with FMB competition experience, they know what to look for. A secret guest judge may appear too.
Another one to watch, Natasha Miller! She has a big bag of tricks and is really elevating women's freestyle. Stoked to see her at Casey Brown's Dark Horse event this week!!
