PRESS RELEASE: WFMBikeCamp Loops is the newest addition to the WFMBike, aka Women's Freeride Movement's bike programs.
This 2.5 day progression camp, happening June 3-5 in Kamloops will have some of the world's best freeriders on hand to teach, inspire, and motivate the participants. The all-star cast includes Casey Brown, Georgia Astle, Harriet Burbidge-Smith, Claire Buchar, and Sarah Walter as guest coaches. Camp Loops will help women, girls, & future athletes become pros in all types of terrain. Participants will have the chance to enjoy the fun of flow trails, steeps, jumps, and the desert-like terrain that the Kamloops Bike Ranch has to offer which is similar to what their heroes ride when they head to competitions.
This event is one of a kind! It is open to everyone who can ride a mountain bike at an intermediate level or higher and has a coach/student of 1:5 ratio. We chose the Kamloops Bike Ranch because it mimics the type of dry, dusty terrain that ladies ride at professional freeride/freestyle events like Proving Grounds, Freeride Fiesta, and Red Bull Formation.
To ensure we are including all abilities we are partnering with
Riding Into Life to run an introduction to mountain biking for women/girls that will run in the afternoons at Juniper Park. This is a beginner only clinic, not for intermediate to advanced riders. Head to our
website for more information.
We will also have one group for young girls and ladies who want to chill, but still enjoy the atmosphere Camp Loops with the pros.
Participants will get trailside coaching, learn the value of sports psychology, and get a chance to develop their air awareness by using tools like the airbags and trampolines to provide a safe progression for skill and trick development. Come bounce on the trampoline, maybe try a backflip, or throw a barspin with the tramp bike!?
Always wanted to try an airbag, but were too nervous. Well now's your chance in this supportive, fun, no pressure environment filled with fun, food, and some of the best in the bike industry.
Two time Olympian Crispin Lipscomb will give us a sports psychology talk on goal setting, fear management, and dealing with competition pressures. These tools are not just for the up and coming athletes, but for everyone looking for trail domination.
Head to our
website to find out more details and to register. Space is limited.
Thanks to our sponsors Jenson USA, Coast Gravity Park, Chromag, Red Bull Canada, Mahalo My Dude, ilabb, Air Rec Center, Coastal Culture Sports, Evolution, District Bike Shop, and Airhouse Nanaimo.
The price is so because we are trying to create a standard wage for women in the industry.
Also due to Covid sponsorship has been hard to come by and prices have gone up.
I have DM’d you with more info.
Hope this helps. Thanks for liking the program, if I could make it free for everyone, I’d do it in a heartbeat.
Cheers!
