DH Fantasy: Last Chance to Change Your Team - Lousa World Cup DH 2020

Oct 29, 2020
by Pinkbike Staff

We've had two rounds of Fantasy DH Trivia and two live downhill racing weekends in Leogang and Maribor. Now, we're being treated to a second World Cup double header in Lousa, Portugal. Please note that you will NOT be able to change your team in between the first race and the second race, so choose wisely! That being said, we will keep the rosters open until after the first Qualifying event so you can line up the fastest team possible for the two rounds.

We hope you're doing well after the first rounds, but even if you didn't, it's still worth playing since there are some great prizes on offer at each round. Also, you wouldn't believe how far back some of our overall winners have come from in the past years and everything is up in the air with the points from two races being tabulated on Monday. As we saw in Leogang, anything can happen, and every point is worthwhile if you want to win an all-new Project One Trek Slash with SRAM components.

Good luck!

'Bontrager round prize to be announced' = Bontrager looking through cupboards and behind the sofas for round prizes.

You said it! I was just down at my LBS and part are starting to look scarce, tires, tubes are almost gone, and some parts won't be in until Feb!

Don't even bank on getting your prize.... I'm still waiting on the 100% helmet from the Leogang 2019 round.

@dazlad: I would email if you haven't already, I won a prize a couple of years ago and waited all summer, once I emailed the to check what was up I got it in less than a week.

@Bomadics: I've been emailing one of the PB reps constantly, and she has been great in all honesty. Just not sure where the disconnect is/was and still waiting on a brain bucket. No contact whatsoever from the 100% rep.

@dazlad: Yea I think that was the issue on mine, it was SRAM that was providing the prize, and once the Pinkbike girl I dealt with reminded them again it got here quickly. You will probably get it the day after it snows heavily!

@Bomadics: LOL, just my luck. That or never see it. I live in hope.
  • 1 0
@dazlad: Hope, B.C., or just hope the emotion?
  • 1 0
 @Bomadics: the emotion lol.

@dazlad: shame, Hope has good biking! Lol

@Bomadics: New Brunswick is doing pretty damn good too right now. Lots of trail systems, not quite BC level, but definitely unique.

I'm not going to say anything about the enduro bike prize for a dh fantasy contest. I'll take it if I win it.
  • 9 1
Not taking part, so I can safely say it's a bit stupid. However, for most riders, it's probably a bike they will get to use more, a bit in the same way that it would be more useful to give the winner of the F1 fantasy league a nice M3 instead of an actual F1 car.
  • 3 2
Why people tend to compare DH bike with a F1 car in terms of usability? People ride dedicated DH bikes since many years and I don't see any mountain getting flat since then. So it's more like to give a winner a M3, instead of Ferrari and I'm pretty sure that Ferrari is just fine for everybody that has the balls to drive one, even if his other car is wagon.

It's probably so the winner doesn't have to sell the DH bike to buy an enduro one instead.

Last chance to change the title! Maribor?

If no one else plays in this round and I take the maximum points, I can still win the overall. I take care of my part and you all take care of your part. Deal?

 Nah mate, sry Wink

Is there a start list available? Hard to know who's actually there
  • 1 0
The qualifying results will show that.
  • 4 0
@LeoTProductions: you usually have to have your team in before qualies. Strange that you could change your team after during last round

Just look at the timed training results

Do you guys know your mens points system is broken??

10th Place = 95
11th Place = 90
12th Place = 85
13th Place = 80
14th Place = 85
15th Place = 70

can you advise as this will cost folk places
  • 3 0
Not that i would win, but if i win i promise i'll start to cry.

Is it possible to add Mikayla Parton to the list please ?
  • 1 0
Leaving the teams open until after qualifying again?

Besides that, last week you could change teams between races and these past events you couldn't. They just change things on a whim with no announcement or anything. Feels like they aren't very organized, professional, on top of things?
